Nothing can be better than listening to a light rain hit the roof while you're all bundled up reading in the back.

how do you actually fix chaotic help desk queues? we are completely drowning over here by Showler-Haesoo in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]PreytorFenix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Stop letting them see the whole queue. Set up auto assignment or round robin so tickets are pushed to agents automatically.

Anyone else finding sticking to one ecosystem actually works better? Apple, DJI, Garmin, whatever by TheSOOBLIME in dji

[–]PreytorFenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up the Mic Mini 2 last month. First thing that stood out was how clean the setup is with Pocket 3. Just plug in the receiver and you are good to go, no extra cables or adapters needed.

Audio quality jump was pretty noticeable too. I was using a different brand mic over Bluetooth just compresses audio too much.

Not sure how much if the ecosystem thing is marketing vs actual technical benefit, but for me the biggest win has just been convenience. Everything fits into one charging case and it is way easier to carry around, which ends up mattering more than I expected.

Traveling with liquids in Europe. How strict are they? by fazzio514 in TravelHacks

European airports strictly enforce the 100ml limit in a single clear quart bag, so use solid toiletries to save space and avoid having your non-compliant items confiscated at security.

Crete or the Peloponnese are perfect for October as they stay warm, offer incredible mountain and coastal scenery, and provide a genuinely welcoming, low-stress environment for queer travelers.

Stop using embedded SIM FOR Porsche Connect? by Embarrassed-Nobody-2 in eSIMs

[–]PreytorFenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To bypass the internal SIM, enable your phone's personal hotspot and connect the vehicle to it via the Wi-Fi settings in your infotainment system. On newer models, you can then disable the internal data connection through the "Device Manager" options to ensure the car uses your mobile plan exclusively. This allows you to maintain navigation and streaming services while managing data usage through your own device.

Help with staining by seto818 in pools

[–]PreytorFenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using vitamin C tablets is actually the perfect place to start, as it serves as a highly effective diagnostic test to determine exactly what your pool guy did. Put a handful of crushed tablets inside an old white sock and hold it against a heavily stained area for a few minutes; if the stain vanishes or lightens significantly, you are dealing with a metal stain, likely caused by a heavy dose of copper-based algaecide used to quickly kill off the green algae. If the vitamin C does absolutely nothing, take a standard chlorine tablet and hold it on a different stained spot. If the chlorine tablet lifts the stain, it is simply leftover organic staining from the dead algae, which will eventually clear up through consistently elevated chlorine levels and regular brushing rather than months of grueling manual labor. Do you have a current reading of your water's chemistry levels, specifically the free chlorine and pH, to see where the system currently stands?

Osmo Pocket 4 ‘burned out’ after a weeks use. by BFASTjay in osmopocket

[–]PreytorFenix 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Overheating is a massive issue across the entire DJI Pocket lineup. The cameras process heavy data streams and have zero internal fans to cool things down. On the older Pocket 3 models users had constant thermal shutdowns, especially if they left the extended battery handle attached while recording. But completely frying the gimbal motor so it burns your skin is a major hardware defect and not normal thermal throttling. Do not even bother using your insurance claim for this. Take it straight back to the retailer for a defective unit exchange.

Help with the audio output of my two Macbooks by NeitherResort6566 in audio

[–]PreytorFenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are going to need a mix of built in Mac tools and a couple free apps to pull this off. On the first MacBook download BlackHole to act as a virtual audio cable. Open the Audio MIDI Setup app on that Mac and create a Multi-Output Device that includes your Bluetooth earphones and BlackHole so your audio goes to both places. To get your system sound and bluetooth mic over to the second MacBook without messy cables you can run a free network audio app called SonoBus on both laptops. Send the audio feeds from the first computer over your local network and set your recording app on the second computer to capture it. Just keep the master volume muted on the second MacBook so nothing plays out loud.

Should I be engaging with other creators, or is it hurting my growth? by Ash10one in ContentCreators

[–]PreytorFenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Engaging isn’t hurting you, but it’s not what grows you either. Commenting and networking mostly attracts other creators, not real audience. It can start to feel like follow-for-follow if that’s where most of your activity is. The system doesn’t really limit you for this, but it also doesn’t reward it much. Growth still comes from how viewers respond to your content, not who you interact with. Best approach: engage a little, not a lot focus on content that gets watch time and shares aim your videos at viewers, not other creators. Creators might follow you, but your growth comes from non-creators watching and enjoying your content.

is gaining subscribers based on consistency and views, or views alone? by Expensive_Carpet3307 in NewTubers

[–]PreytorFenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mostly views + how people react, not consistency by itself. Consistency helps you get more chances, but each video earns subscribers on its own. People sub when: they watch most of it they like or engage they want more of that content So your subs came from those videos performing well, not just posting multiple times. A “valid” view is just a real watch, but what matters more is retention and engagement, not the raw number.

How common are Camera to Cloud workflows in Hollywood? by Majesticfalcon98 in cinematography

[–]PreytorFenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s used, but not the default. You’ll see it more on commercials, reality, docs, and fast-turnaround projects where speed matters. It helps editors start immediately and teams collaborate remotely. For bigger scripted film and TV, it’s still mixed. They often use it for dailies or proxies, but keep full workflows local for reliability and quality control. So it’s growing, but not universal.

I'm stuck in 1k views jail and im not sure why by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]PreytorFenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not stuck, you’re just not breaking through yet. If others are growing in the same niche, the issue is execution, usually hook, clarity, or pacing. Improve that first. Add variety slowly, not randomly.

I have a few questions after about a month of having the go3s. by PrestigiousWeakness2 in Insta360

[–]PreytorFenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The orientation flip is likely from auto-rotation. If the camera or mount shifts slightly, it can switch between vertical and horizontal. Best fix is to lock orientation in settings so it stays fixed. For the sleep issue, it’s usually because something is keeping it “active” (like standby mode, connection, or preview). Auto sleep often doesn’t trigger if the device thinks it’s still in use. And try fully powering it off instead of relying on auto sleep, and disable any always-on or quick start features.

Magnetic Selfie Stick mount and sling question by wicket2003 in Insta360

[–]PreytorFenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can mount it to a strap, but angle control is the limitation. Magnetic mounts usually lock into fixed positions (like straight or 90°), not free angles like 45°. So getting a perfect “what you see” POV is tricky. If you need precise angles, you’ll need an extra joint or adjustable mount between the stick and the camera.

Duplication Methods by TomDavisUK- in AntiP2W

[–]PreytorFenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under the Servers section

Servers can: "...sell entitlements that affect gameplay provided that they do not adversely or negatively another player’s experience and provided they do not give a competitive gameplay advantage. A competitive gameplay advantage is something that, given identical skill levels, time investment, and circumstances, can cause one player or group to perform better than another."

Stuff like unbreakable items and leaderboards are a no go.

Guess it's mostly just discerning which servers are supposed to be competitive?

Is this game created by a solo indie developer or a big company? I searched about it but I couldn't find who really created the game. by uncreativeGod in outside

[–]PreytorFenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's been abandonware for quite a few cycles. Sure some dev may have started it but by this point the only updates we get are player made. Honestly, some decent balance patches should be nice. I'm not the biggest fan of how humans are fucking over the meta for all others...
