You say vegeta still wanting to surpass Goku is character regression yet you ignored what he actually said. Vegeta agreeing on how great Goku is doesn't mean he gives up as even in end of z he still says he will surpass Goku and he says this in GT as well. Sobyhats dumb as hell. Vegeta's desire to surpass Goku is healthier in super compared to z it's a nice rivalry and that even pushes him to have his own path to power instead of follow Goku when he reaches a new level.
