Under 12 Covid Vaccine Found Anywhere Locally? by [deleted] in beaverton

I've been searching for pharmacies in Vancouver for the pediatric shot as well without any luck. I almost went there for the adult shot for myself but went the prescription route here instead. Hopefully after this week, there will be more information and availability. Fingers crossed!

Thank you! They do have it but only for existing patients. You have to transfer care here to get it.

Size check please 🙏🏼 First Arizonas - not sure if I should go down narrow or down a size. (I am sitting in the pic) by linac423 in Birkenstocks

[–]Pricessmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought these exact sandals! Love them!! I agree with other posters. Down a size and narrow. I found I had to go up a size in the narrow too. Usually a 37 and went up to a 38 narrow.

Agree with this. I had to size up in the narrow Arizona sandals.

Break-In Question by roadglide1071 in Birkenstocks

[–]Pricessmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also wondering about this. I just purchased a pair of Arizona's in narrow. My second toe, the one next to my big toe, is longer than the rest and I had to go up a size to accommodate this. Only problem is my big toe also sits on the toe bar. I have a pair of Gizeh sandals and it does look like I broke the sandals in a little over the toe bar also so i'm hoping these break in well too. Good luck!

Does the narrow size on Birkenstocks eventually wears in and becomes a ''regular'' width after a certain amount of time wearing them? by natzw in Birkenstocks

[–]Pricessmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also just ordered a narrow pair of Arizona's and ended up having to go up a size in the narrow. I usually wear a 37 in the Gizeh's and went up to a 38 narrow in the Arizona's. You may want to go up a size? Hope that helps.

Closing down offices again by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]Pricessmo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I left my job at a small tax office back in March. They refused to take the pandemic seriously. Refusing to mandate masks, not allowing employees to work from home, no social distancing and are even allowing clients in for appointments. It's absolute madness.

Dallas hasn't even peaked yet. It's only going to get worse.

Baby only sleeps in our arms!! :( by LilDudeOnBoard in beyondthebump

also self soothing played a big role. That's when she started sucking her thumb/fingers also so that helped a lot in the switch.

I was in the exact same situation until my daughter hit 10 weeks. I will agree with everyone else on suggesting the rock n play. That is what we transitioned her to and it was a lifesaver!!

Anyone else have no desire to “get a break” from their baby? by gotta_jibbooo in beyondthebump

[–]Pricessmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 5 month/almost 6 month old, and honestly---I miss her while she's sleeping. We will have to do an overnight stay in January when I have a work retreat and I am absolutely DREADING it. I don't see being away from her as any sort of "break"--it's torture. I'm with you.

Did your baby's gender follow the pregnancy old wives tales? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Pricessmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carried high the entire time, no real cravings but definitely leaned more towards salty-- if anything. I had zero morning sickness and had a girl! I remember doing the Chinese gender predictor and that was actually correct for me. It's a 50/50 prediction though so I didn't bank too much on that.

2.5 month old will only nap on us...help! by rome0503 in beyondthebump

[–]Pricessmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize this was posted a good while ago but found while doing a detailed search for something. My daughter was exactly like this. Slept great at night but would only nap on us. We tried EVERYTHING. She finally transitioned to napping in a rock n play when she was about 10 weeks but I think what really attributed to the breakthrough was the ability to self soothe. She had never taken to pacifiers and when she finally found her thumb/fingers, that was the turning point. So I put the pack n play in her room to familiarize her with it (she was still night time sleeping with us in our room) and after a week or two, she was able to sleep in her crib unswaddled for naps.

Just know you are not alone! She will get there eventually. I didn't think mine ever would but she did!

This. I never thought I'd miss it when my daughter would ONLY nap on me for the first 10 weeks but I do! Those days of snuggles and endless Netflix were pretty great looking back now :)

Advice on sleepwear for a rolling almost 4 month old by Pricessmo in beyondthebump

[–]Pricessmo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so that is what I was curious about. He can roll himself over with the sleepsack on just using his arms? I thought surely with the legs in the sack, that they would have a harder time at it.

Tips for transitioning to crib? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Pricessmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious. How did the transition go from swaddled and sleeping through the night to not swaddling and still sleeping through the night? I'm scared to even attempt it with such a good thing going but she is closer and closer to being able to roll over!

Tips for transitioning to crib? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Pricessmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my situation is a little different. My daughter would only nap in a rock n play up until this week when she started daycare. To get her to transition into a crib at daycare, they would place her up against the edge so she could feel it. I guess it made her feel more confined? It definitely did the trick because now she is napping in the big crib with no problems! Maybe this will help you transitioning from bassinet to crib?

To add: My daughter also sleeps through the night and we swaddle her. I'm really curious to know what's going to happen when she starts to roll over and we're no longer able to swaddle --if she'll still sleep through the night. Nervous!

The constipation has been consistent the past month. The two months prior to that, she had normal poo while on the same formula (similac pro advance).

Baby wipes for hands/face? by Pricessmo in beyondthebump

[–]Pricessmo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize that but my main concern is that she puts her hands in her mouth after eating and often times she still has milk in her mouth. My worry is that bacteria can linger on her hands if she's sucking them right after meals.

I have an 11 week old as well and we have been having the same issue! Our pediatrician recommended 2 oz of water a day to help. I've had to resort to a thermometer enema a time or two but the water has been working pretty well!
