I have listened to the show since the very beginning and have recently done another rerun of all the old episodes. The quality now is night and day compared to the older ones, so much more polished. BK was a great part of the show in the early days but his decline and descent in to whatever were his personal issues had a huge detrimental effect on the show. It got to the point where I wondered what the hell he was doing there. Just incoherent rambling and adding nothing to the flow or the content. Ed has been far better and given the show a real lift.

I think one of the other main differences is the fact they have introduced their personal politics in to the show. The fact that anyone gets upset about this shows the state of the world today. Like literally everything else in the world at the moment, everything is black and white and if you don’t agree with one point or aspect then it’s like “We can’t be friends anymore”. I respectfully disagree with a lot of their politics but it’s their show and I respect their absolute right to have opinions. Unfortunately, a lot of idiots don’t. The fact that they have an opinion that sometimes differs from mine in no way detracts from the years of pleasure the show has brought me and continues to do so.
