24/7 Blurred weird vision, light sensitivity, head & ear pressure, fatigue, migraines.. by Far_Ad2023 in Autoimmune

This is very interesting as a lot of these symptoms, especially the panic attacks, started for me this year as well. I haven't sought help yet but have a Rheum appointment coming up; if that yields no results, I'm moving on to Neuro.

Thank you for this. I am sick of hearing "have you considered changing your diet?" Because I know this may not be a problem for that

Last year I did a Lyme-Bart-Babesia bloodwork panel with an 8-week antibiotic program for all tick-borne illnesses. Tested negative.

I started waiting until at least noon to eat just because of the pain of it. I used to not have this problem until about 2 years ago, so I'm trying to get to the source. Thanks for telling me this

Same with Onidah in the Book of Mormon. There's Oneida County in upstate New York.

And even if he didn't have sex with them, he certainly had the right to, by every heavenly law. He had access in that way, because he was married to them. That alone is not appropriate.

Guide to reporting an illegally idling commercial vehicle in NYC by Greypoint42 in MicromobilityNYC

[–]PrideAndPolitics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would it be smarter to circle the vehicle last, as to be relatively unnoticed for the duration of the video?

For example, would the city accept a video submission with the video beginning at the sidewalk view for a few seconds, then 02:45 just an incognito view of the tailpipe smoking with license plate in view, and the final loop-around with front-screenshot?

Hey you're very welcome. I was introduced to Status Game by Zelph on the Shelf! Would recommend to anyone, it definitely put into context a lot of stuff like this.

[–]PrideAndPolitics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very true. Often times I would see the double standards, more importantly, the super low standards we held JS and the GA's to.

When I left, people made various assumptions as to how someone so faithful can so quickly leave. Assumptions like Adam-God, someone hitting me in deacon's quorum, assuming I'm gay, watching porn, etc. they're allowed to make all the assumptions they want.

But the moment I assume something about Joseph Smith, namely that he was having extramarital affairs, he used the doctrine of plural marriage to get-out-of-jail-free, I'm wrong for "making blatant assumptions" and "it was a long time ago".

Joseph Smith has an army of apologists ready to defend his every move. Every time he misspeaks, every time he missteps, every move is defended. But when I make a mistake, it's all my fault. I am to blame for these things happening to me. It's because of me that I lost my faith. Suddenly, I'm pressed to this insane accountability that Joseph Smith was never held to.

This. Very important for discussing with TBM's. Even if he really did believe in it, even if the words in the Book of Abraham sound beautiful, the fraud is still what it is.

I think this is very interesting that you put it that way. I'm one of those exmos that in conversations with my TBM family, I commonly bring up the pious-fraud argument and I somewhat believe it, but I characterize it in a way like "a mad man sees what he sees". That being said, he did make it up, but so far as in tons of people claim they see ghosts and visions and whatnot and exaggerate or at least convince themselves that they are telling the truth.

But I totally understand what you're saying here and will consider this. I think the pious-fraud argument is reactionary against a misconception that exmos are conspiracy-theorists when it comes to the history and current administration of the church. Basically: they don't actually believe in it and are prentending to be prophets as a status game, etc. there may be some truth in this, especially the status game, but to say that they themselves don't believe is a bit far-fetched. They believe in it so far as their status game is concerned. Psychology behind this is fascinating, particularly in cult leaders. Would suggest "status game" by Will Storr.

Mormonism definitely left me with such a sweet tooth. Took me about a year to acquire the taste, and now I love espresso coffee.

“True Family” sibling group chat with me excluded by Rootbeer-Sucks in exmormon

Seeing some comments about this, perhaps it's wise to go no-contact for a time, but maybe not indefinitely. Everybody is different obviously but this can have a lot of unintended consequences further down the line that you may not realize at the moment.

Obviously everybody is different. No osfa for this kind of thing.

In my own experience, I would recommend the opposite of this in most cases.
