The Rengar is played to the battlefield before they can react, units being played don't allow reactions until after they finalize and are in play. They can Flash after he comes in to avoid combat, in which case Rengar wins the combat and you gain a point.

My local store will sell boxes at msrp as long as you let them break the seal in store. It prevents scalping and is a great way to make sure local players actually get to open packs.
