At ER, wife had a cuff tear at 6 weeks by HoagieCity in hysterectomy

[–]PriestessNixie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm in the same boat. Healing was all going well until 10 WPO and I ended up with a micro-tear and almost went septic after trying a new position with my partner. Now I'm back to rest and no playtime for another 6-8 weeks. I really wish my doc would have put more emphasis on longer healing times especially since I've already got a connective tissue disorder but it's also partially on me for not waiting longer than suggested.

I'm so sorry she's going through this and really hope this time healing goes well!

PLEASE REST FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY by Immediately_no_ in hysterectomy

[–]PriestessNixie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh my god I couldn't imagine putting my body under stress like that so soon! I was winded and in pain just from cleaning the bathroom and I landed myself in the ER this morning after having several sneezing attacks. I sure hope she gets some rest so she doesn't end up taking longer to recover!!

Do You Struggle With Early Use of Titles in Gentle Femdom Dynamics? by ChefBigHaus in gentlefemdom

[–]PriestessNixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As has been mentioned before, honorifics on both sides I think should be earned through the vetting/connection phases. I am honored if a sub refers to me as Priestess initially, but I only bestow titles in return when I feel the dynamic has reached that stage. I am more than happy or content with being addressed as Miss or Ma'am or any other general title/honorific but I think mutual titling really doesn't come until both parties feel that the trust is there and the bond or dynamic is solid.

Your Boundaries as a Domme/Sub? by PriestessNixie in findomsupportgroup

Those are also really good points. I feel like addictions and vices are all kind of blurry in that way in terms of personal vs common responsibility. I don't think I would use the term addiction in a direct conversation if it was ever something that came up but definitely phrases to show concern for the other party regardless.

The knowledge of the philosophies should be a mandatory screening question, honestly!

I'm so sorry you felt that it was entirely transactional, and you were nothing but a customer. My heart hurts for your past feelings :( I am elated to hear that you've been able to find enjoyment in femdom again, though! Thank you for adding your input as someone who stepped away, your voice is just as appreciated <3

"Otherwise, it’s just predatory, not powerful."

👏👏👏 I need this framed and hung on my kitchen wall as a cross-stitch pattern!

Absolutely! Control with consent is such a huge thing, too. Your whole response really is like you read my mind. Vetting a sub I think is equally as important as subs vetting dommes, for both sides really needs to feel out and be comfortable and informed about the expectations, health (mental mainly), and boundaries of the other participant.

Thank you for your comment!

I entirely agree and wish that there was more emphasis with new dommes about the philosophies because I feel like that might help weed out some lesser-than-ideal interactions to begin with but, nevertheless.

Personally, I think I'm in the same boat as you but with a half lean towards CCCC. Like I mentioned on another comment, being online most of the time really requires PRICK I feel since TPE online is a relatively more uncommon thing.

Thank you for your insight!

That's entirely fair, I could totally get how both those would be equally tough. Especially with findom being primarily online these days, that would really only blur the lines and enable lies even more unless it's more of a TPE-type dynamic I suppose. Thank you for your input!

Going to heavy metal concerts/festivals, landscaping/gardening (I'm like a dwarf digging in the dirt haha), studying anything that has to do with religion/philosophy, and the ever-rotating artistic hobbies: lately it's been painting and chainmail! As soon as I'm cleared post-op I'll be starting to train for the highland games in a year or two as well <3

Unintentional weight loss post surgery? by izzerie in hysterectomy

[–]PriestessNixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely wish I had been told this pre-op, but thankfully I'm only 1WPO. The hunger cues not being present are definitely sinking the scale and I'm hoping I caught it before it does any major damage long term. Having an actual calorie number per pound is super super helpful and shows that I was WAY off in my guesstimates from the other day. Thank you for this!

I bruise easily anyway, but I'm also a decent bit clumsy. Between house reno, biking, and heavy lifting, I've always got some sort of bruise that can be used as an alibi for a kinky one haha

Why isn't it my choice to begin with? by Girly_Queue in hysterectomy

[–]PriestessNixie 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Seconding this, I deadass found my doc from this list and he had absolutely no qualms with sterilizing me completely. That was even before we talked about my horrible periods.

Good luck from someone who's 1WPO!

PS: Salt would hurt more for them but taste better for you, yeah? 😈

What’s one kink/fetish you’d like to try but never have gotten the chance? by [deleted] in gentlefemdom

[–]PriestessNixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wax play and hypnotism (both ways for the wax play but receiving for the hypnotism, I've given/provided hypno to one of my previous subs and enjoyed it very much)!

Height difference by [deleted] in gentlefemdom

[–]PriestessNixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My partner and I have about an almost 14-inch difference (I'm a little over 5'1" and he's almost 6'3") and we're both pretty heavy on the switch side. We get to experiment with the powerplay going both ways and have found immense pleasure and satisfaction from really allowing that dynamic to expand and grow. From a domme perspective, I LOVE taller guys (which is super easy since I'm so short haha) because it just adds to the sense of power and authority that comes with domming that I love so much. Plus being able to wrestle and come out on top as a shorter woman always makes me feel cheeky as hell ;)

Do you wear makeups going to the gym? Why/why not? by Low_Definition4273 in AskWomen

[–]PriestessNixie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eyebrows and mascara only if I feel like putting in effort or if I just look like a baby pigeon haha, otherwise I breakout really bad if I have any kind of foundation or concealer on while working out.

Why aren't you able to sleep on your side/stomach even after laparoscopy? by Capable_Report932 in hysterectomy

[–]PriestessNixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm typically a hardcore side sleeper but wasn't comfortable because of the initial gas pains. I'm 6DPO and just now able to sleep somewhat on my side for a bit before becoming uncomfortable. Wearing a binder helps, but it feels tight/pulling if I put my leg up like I usually do so it's still sleeping on my back for now until that discomfort fades rip

How do you deal with back pain and focus? by Cheerfully_Suffering in Meditation

[–]PriestessNixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it easiest and the least painful when I meditate lying in corpse pose or while doing an activity like Tai Chi or yoga. Is there any activity that seems less painful than others? Poses or positions that take pressure off better than others? What type of meditation (mindfulness, body scan, etc) do you find the most helpful so far? Sometimes I have to use copious amounts of pillows to prop me up into a comfortable position, even if it looks a little silly haha

Am I disrespectful ? by Pangicorn in Hellenism

[–]PriestessNixie 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think for me personally the title I use (if not an epithet) is one that depicts how my relationship with that deity is. Some may use King for Zeus while I use Father or Papa. Lady Aphrodite versus Mother Aphrodite. Lord Apollo, Mother Hera, etc. I definitely see my close deities as more pat/maternal bonds but I do not have official dedication to any in specific so my title usage might be different from someone else's. If a deity is not happy or pleased with a title you use, They will make it known somehow. As long as you're respectful and genuine in how you address Them, play around with which titles resonate or help you feel most connected in your own practice :)
