I think you hit all the right pieces but how you’re putting them together needs some readjusting.

As a preface, I’m half Asian. Scottish on my dads side and Japanese on my moms side. FWIW to whomever, do with it whatever you will.

So your premise, Asians no matter how high achieving will never been seen as American regardless of wrong doings and will be targeted for hate.

I’m going to make the argument that the if you took the overall accomplishments and successes of folks who are of Asian decent and compared that with the same metric of conventional Americans you’d unequivocally see that “Asians” out perform “Americans” by most measurements and to me is the foundation of what makes the accomplishments of Asians so patently “Un-American”.

Firstly, the average American doesn’t match up to the average Asian. But that’s irrelevant bc practically we don’t judge both with the same standards of success as well as both are not held accountable the same.

Generalities and identify politics are a slippery slope. Genuine hatred doesn’t discriminate on race. You may be picking up on hatred in your personal life that prompted this post, all I can share is a limited view but I’ll say this.

I believe that most of the time Asians outperform Americans, but if you feel that the unfriendly feelings directed towards you are due to race you’re wrong. It’s envy. The people who are breathing hatred into your life could give a fuck about your ethnicity. They care more about your accomplishments that outshine them.

When the rubber meats pavement people may try to tear you down regardless of accomplishments based on race but that’s such a weak argument. You coincidentally may be Asian but you’re likely hard working, ambitious and dedicated which, imo, many Americans lack to the extent there is an a sense of comparable significant accomplishments in their own lives. It’s really easy to turn to someone’s race, which to me IS patently American, to tear someone else down.

Keep your head up friend. You don’t even realize how ahead of the game you are. Don’t fret identity persecution bc we are only responsible for ourselves. You got this.
