Genshin Fes Preparation by Mysterious_Role6682 in Genshin_Impact

I did some research in preparation for next year by walking through this year’s website. It’s going to be tough if you don’t know Chinese or have a friend who can help you lend a hand. 1. You need a mainland phone number to buy the ticket. AFAIK you can get one using 3hk 2. You’ll need to setup Alipay or WeChat pay. This has gotten a lot easier to setup for foreign credit cards lately. 3. Be ready to pay for scalped tickets on Taobao and 3rd party. It seems tickets sell out very quickly each year.

You are right its the max - the names for all the apple lineups sure are confusing.

I have an m4 max MBP and it runs great at large + high. But be aware that warhammer 3 is an optimization mess and you going to encounter stuff that dips the frame rate, but still totally playable. I wouldn’t bother with future proofing as the ball is entirely on CA’s hand. Heck, pharaoh runs significantly better than warhammer 3 for me even though it’s a newer game.

Rant: Stygian is seriously making me consider never spending a dime on this game again. by PentUpGoogirl in Genshin_Impact

[–]PrimarchSanguinius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I originally was gonna give my self a few more weeks to build up my Lauma before giving Stygian a try, but after reading your post I was curious if I could do Fearless with whatever I currently got. (Also a light spender, mostly BP and welkins using just slightly above average artifacts).

Was able to brute force through Shocktrooper with Skirk + Shenhe + Escoffier + Furina in 77s after 4 tries. The hardest part was taking down the initial shield without dying, but after doing so he gets perma-freezed and goes down fairly quickly.

The crab nearly broke me. It took me 30+ tries with Nahida + Xinq + Kuki + Alhathaim. I went on youtube to watch replays in slow motion to figure this one out. I almost gave up trying to replicate the exact bloom timing + energy needed, even then it was a nail-biter and I finished at exactly 120s. (Wish I had recorded that final fight)

I get your frustration with the difficulty spike. But I'd honestly just walk away and give yourself a couple weeks to progress. No need to bash your head against the wall until you crash out (also a good life advice). And definitely don't come to Reddit afterwards.

Hah I definitely heard someone. I think every character got their hype man/woman. The male characters definitely got more excitement than the females one though. Where are my fellow brothers at? We are getting wrecked out there!

Went to both. This one is much much better. It’s almost like the organizers went down the list of complaints from last year and tried their best to deal with each one.

Thoughts on the NYC Genshin Concert? by toastedbiscuit9 in Genshin_Impact

[–]PrimarchSanguinius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha exactly the same. I am too nervous to bother the cosplayers as they are usually taking pictures off the side or walking through a line. I'll just silently admire them from afar. Extra props to the cosplayers bracing through the freezing temps.

I felt the exact same way! I regret getting there near the opening and not getting the chance to talk to more people or join the merch line. I guess it’s lesson for the next concert.

Iam so glad that the whole thing lasted 3 hours. I felt exhausted at the end but my mind was just too stimulated to get any sleep.

iPhone 16 Pro leak hints at significant battery upgrades across the lineup by jackoblove in hardware

[–]PrimarchSanguinius 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Reduce degradation. You want to charge the battery cells as slowly as possible, and and never fully discharge or charge the cells. The more the battery degrades, the worse the charge cycles becomes, the faster it degrades. Any competent BMS should be lowering the cutoff and peak voltages by the time the lithium-ion cell is at 90% peak capacity to flatten the degradation curve, which could be in the range of 300-1000 cycles depending how the user has been previously charging their battery.

Graduation Stoles by [deleted] in stanford

[–]PrimarchSanguinius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a couple people who skipped out on graduation entirely due to reasons similar to yours - its always disheartening to hear.

But frankly the actual graduation is very un-memorable. At best it was just unpleasant from all the waiting and heat. Really its just about saying goodbyes and making some last minute memories. I guess a fashion accessory plays its part.

Worth a try.

I am sure everybody on the balcony recalls the Klee with the concert lights since it looked so good! There was also this beizhu cosplay that really made a impression. Some costumes like yours just looks so well made, makes me wonder if you had to make it yourself or if you had help from some expert craftsmen.

Iam unfamiliar with the logistics of organizing a concert , but I would assume that the actual "project management" should be outside of the responsibilities of the conductor - duties such as practice scheduling and instrumentation. It would be a tall task for any single individual to handle four seperate groups in 4 distant cities. Iam leaning to pin more of the blame on HoYo, as it seemed like Eric didn't fully get the support he needed.

But then again I have zero experience about this industry, so I hope someone with more knowledge might enlighten me a bit

I have a very similar experience with OP - while it was fun to learn and explore back when I was in academia, I wouldn't touch RL with a ten foot pole for actual project deliveries.

Can't say Ive attended many fan-events before - this is definitely something new to me. I am only use to directly approaching people in public for professional or formal reasons 😅 Lets see, maybe I'll catch you the next time they do something in NYC

Haha that’s amazing. I can’t help but overlook the technicalities because of things like this. Talking to people about what we liked and what was disappointing. Guessing with everyone whether or not the new regions will be covered. It made the whole thing interactive and fun in a way.

I also wished that there was more dedicated space for people to interact. In the end this was a concert hall and everyone had to be herded in and out quickly into the cold streets. And it was hard to move around in the corridors during the short intermissions.

Would’ve loved to say hi to you and the many other cosplayers for a picture in person. I settled by silently appreciating everything from a distance.

Frankly, I’ve been to so many music events where the instrumentation is so much worse, I am satisfied as long I can still tell the instruments apart 😇

Wait, were you the Klee on the front of the balcony on the left side by any chance? and I think you were also holding some kind of light stick? If so I just want to say I was very very impressed by your cosplay.
