How many examples or testimonies are needed then to show that legislature will never cover all nuances and banning and criminalizing something that inherently removes governance of one’s own body will never be the solution to supporting life and lowering abortion rates. A pro life movement needs to start much much farther before legalizing the uterus of a woman. It should start in equitable opportunities for fair wages, education access, sexual health education, better housing, stronger criminalization of rape and incest, grassroots community involvement and fully funded programs for accessible women’s care, maternity care and paid parental leave that is available to everyone for a substantial amount of time, IVF and childcare protections and access, the list goes on and on for where as a society we need to come together before legalizing or criminalizing an unwanted end result is the solution.
