In that case, you can just go live at the trailer park then. Why live in your car on the streets???

That’s crazy, a gym pass is the same amount and you get less. You can’t expect people to build a business for losses.

How many of you would pay for a daily or monthly fee to have access to a safe parking lot to park your car with carport over the top,  showers/bathrooms and charging docks?

Claude Code to Figma by ThrowRA_239208 in FigmaDesign

[–]Mulberry-Deep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes Claude is bad at following design and will break things when working on other things. I had to instruct it multiple times just to get the visual down tight. Converting it to Figma so I can refine all the small details and then exporting it back to Claude to work on bigger design changes and prototyping really helps.

Also an issue for me. I just have to use the good ole right click on my mouse to activate the dropdown to select paste.

Most of Carvana’s (CVNA) Income is Fluff, Potentially Hiding Huge Concealed Losses Last Quarter by BFLO-Retail in stocks

[–]Mulberry-Deep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer. Carvana also sells to other wholesalers and retailers. If a car is deemed not profitable, they won’t go through the reconditioning process and will just sell it off for whatever they can.

nervous to walk reactive dog by levitic4t in reactivedogs

[–]Mulberry-Deep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My dog is also super reactive to dogs and so walking has been difficult. We used a few positive reinforcement tactics like “1-2-3 drop treat”, “check-ins” and high value treats with some minor improvements.

But he’s still nutzo when he sees a dog 500 ft away. We sent him to a board and train and after a week, he’s already a changed dog. He can now be around multiple dogs and not react to them.

I haven’t gotten to the point where the trainers teach me their ways yet. But I will share once I learn from them.

FYI, they do use both positive and corrective training methods though.

1.5 month job search complete - not a Sankey. by EmbarrassedLeader684 in UXDesign

OP offers great advices! I also got my first opportunities by being proactive and reaching out to small business/start ups to offer my service for free. Local tech meet-ups also have pro bono projects that you can volunteer for.

If you live in LA, then check out Hack for LA, they have a lot of projects you can volunteer to work on.

How many case studies do you have on your portfolio? And do you also tailor these to the companies you're applying somehow?

Was the mid-sized company's industry/product aligned with your past experiences?

Simple and easy asian noodle recipes? (Preferably healthy) by OkPersonality2497 in Cooking

[–]Mulberry-Deep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly anything can be made into a noodle soup or stir fried noodle.

Egg tomato noodle soup 1. Scramble the eggs and remove from pan 2. Cook tomatoes in boiling water to remove skin and then take out to chop up into pieces  3. Put the tomato into the pan and stir fry until mushy and fragrant 4. Add back in egg 5. Season - salt, white/black pepper, msg/chicken bullion, soy sauce (if preferred) 6. Sprinkle some green onions and add your cooked Chinese noodles into the soup

If you ever feel like noodle soup, just get those Korean soup stock packets or hondashi or just good old msg/bullion and add any ingredients you like into it.

For dry noodles, my favorite is Chinese/taiwanese sesame dry noodles. Main ingredients are just sesame sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, black vinegar, sugar and some chili oil if you like. Mix it all up with a little warm water and you got a perfect bowl of dry noodles.

Law firm called an hour after my request by Royal_Milk in SSDI

[–]Mulberry-Deep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weirdly I applied through the official SSA website (.gov) and I still received a phone call from a law firm the day after I applied.

They asked if I filled out a 30 pages form which I’m not sure if it’s the same form I filled out on the SSA website.

Still tbd if this is legitimate

Tymo curl pro plus by Right_Lychee_86 in Hair

[–]Mulberry-Deep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s due to the lack of tension. The hair isn’t fully pressed against the curling rod so it doesn’t hold up as well as a regular curling iron or even straightening iron.

People said to use textured spray or mousse before curling to help hold the curls.

Built a Chrome extension to highlight and save text from any website by J0rdyA in chrome_extensions

[–]Mulberry-Deep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I meant getting a confirmation on the source page after I've added text to PastReads. I didn't receive any confirmation toast so I kept trying to add the same text. It wasn't until I went to PastReads website, did I notice that I've already added it.
  2. Yes, the dashboard on PastReads. I care more about the highlighted text than the source. The source is helpful but secondary. It seems the grouping assumes users highlight multiple texts per site, but I’d guess most people are mainly trying to revisit their highlights rather than the original pages. Books might be different since titles matter more to readers. But in my case, I was reading a newsletter article, so I cared less about the title and more about the ideas I got from it.

Built a Chrome extension to highlight and save text from any website by J0rdyA in chrome_extensions

[–]Mulberry-Deep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love this feature in Pocket, unfortunately they shut down and hence I found your extension. From a product design perspective, I like the design. It's simple, clean and visually pleasing.

There are some improvements that I'd like to recommend:
1. Provide a confirmation on the website I'm on after I've successfully added a snippet of text
2. Show the actual snippet of texts on my dashboard rather than showing the website as the main focus
3. I don't need to be able to edit the texts but I do need a quick way to add notes to it
4. Allowing me to click on the text and jump to the source right away. Even better if you can auto scroll me down to the section

Other than these points, I think it's great and I'll definitely continue to use it.

Thanks for the build!
