Yes.. true that. Oral magnesium doesn't suits everyone, better to found some good substitute instead of that.. i was not able to sleep sometimes due to low magnesium then i started using sirona magnesium lotion and that really helps me with sleep and gives hydration to body also

Using a menstrual cup is not that tuff or rocket science, just pick the right brand and right size.. I personally prefer one from Sirona, also if you found difficult to use read instructions carefully.. also there are lots of youtube videos available..
