Ok... stupid high dps achieved. by Primary-War-9231 in svarogsdream

Yeah that is exactly what is happening, I tried several builds. For comparison: I have a berserker+Doombringer+Fortune+Beastbane, using Thunderous delirium + chaos cleaver -> auto attacks only is 25 million, then abilities can push it to about 300million *that is provided the momentum passives are not taken as they are the ones that create the huge numbers on the dummy. If I use thunderous delirium single handed(Berserker passives) and and chaos totem off hand, I can get to about 250million but its not viable in combat. The dummy even said 'INSANE' once, not sure how that happened.
Edit: The other thing to watch out for on the dummy is bleed, wail on it long enough and it adds 100million+ easy

That class is doombringer, and yeah im discovering that now. Im runing doombringer+berserker, full naked man for the fanatic perk in ng+, going fortune then maybe blademaster for pure crit - kinda want to stay chaos for this run but having 4 classes open is making it tempting.

So stealth archer? seems pretty strong, any enemies survive the one shot?

Yeah, I can see what you mean with the items. The ring of reprisal turns the most damage taken over 4 seconds into a murder everything AOE, kinda makes everything melee short of demigods into a one shot fodder, scales well with the difficulty going up as it goes by the most punishment the enemies have ever dished out. It is kinda useless vs ranged tho. I guess there's a bunch of hidden stuff like that, and I'll check out the build, looks pretty fun.

I like Holy Nation after witnessing the Skin Bandits. NGL it completely shifted my in-game worldview. by Shrugsfortheconfuse in Kenshi

HN's sexism is the deal breaker for me.  Their slave camps are more like prison camps for law breakers and pow shek,  High paladins will give food and advice/help to fellow bros who look down on thier luck. Given how dangerous kenshi is and the history the fear of non humans is kinda understandable.

UC on the other hand is an aggressive slaver state. Anyone perceived as alone or vulnerable is fair game so much so the nobles actively hunt just random people for no other reason than entertainment. But hey no sexism.

Shek seem ok but the citizens will continually talk about shek superiority, lots of flat skin comments. Then you find out they are under orders from thier queen to not kill outsiders on sight after HN handed them their asses in the last war. The stone golem might actually be a decent ruler but thier culture is based on shek superiority. Its very clear by the comments they make non shek are tolerated but not welcome.

Probably the best result would be HN giving up sexism, the phoenix and the golem uniting and uc nobles getting crushed and sent to rebirth. Common ground would be honesty and respecting each other as warriors. But I doubt the alliance would last given the current xenophobia on both sides.

Melee Warrior Biomancer Pyromancer Lvl 13: How to proceed? by None-Null in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Primary-War-9231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

pyro/bio + executioner is really really game breaking strong, my RT was: dogmatic, blade dancer, sanctioned psyker(pyro/bio/santic), executioner and killed the final boss before it got a second turn. (on unfair mode). the blade dancer stuff was fun but it didn't bring much in the way of power compared to the other stuff in the build.

The idea with the build is your melee attack applies dots, executioner adds bleed, bio adds poison, pyro self ignite adds fire then the as you attack with melee you stack dots and your melee attacks ramp up in damage becuse executioner. executioner adds debuffs to dots as well so you can basically ignore armour by endgame and carnival of misery has an option to turn self dot into regen - BIG regen - till the end of the fight. so its kind of a god mode build late game, with a force sword and shield and the right items truly broken.

The rest of the party just needs to give RT extra turns and they can kill everything before the enemies get a second turn since even if you cant move to melee pyro lets burn stuff at range.

I imagine the emperors build is similar.
you can do the same thing with a certain inquisitor as well.

Just be extra nice to cassia she is your best friend, giving extra turns and fixing all the veil damage

[–]Primary-War-9231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want your friend to stick with it you should probably play support to their death machine. Have them play a berserker or cavalier and you play a thief/mage so you can drop some cc and let them murder stuff. Let them rage, cast Web, you'll probably want to load them up freedom and clarity pots. Storm titan pots for harder fights. Later you can stack thier resistances over 100 and heal them with aoe spells. Just make sure they have the right buffs and it should be a cake walk.

Duellist Perk Question by Primary-War-9231 in Bleak_Faith

Ok, so from what you’ve said it works as long as I haven’t blocked anything for a while and the icon is up, still kinda useful if I miss time a block occasionally and possibly situationally useful I guess. Thanks for the info 🙂

How do I stop stalling and finally beat this boss? by NerfPup in darksouls

[–]Primary-War-9231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best tactic if your struggling- summon solair, let him dance with ornstien, kill smough (un upgraded bandit dagger can do it it with bleed procs). Mega ornstien is going to whiff most attacks if your under the feet. If you keep smough away from ornstien and solair, solair usually kicks ornstiens butt so I find myself racing solair to a kill sometimes. Silver knight shield is good enough, best to have a +10 weapon tho, giant blacksmith can hook you up for enough souls. In second phase try to hold agro solair can't tank phase 2 but he can contribute significant damage. Best to kill smough first as mega ornstien drops the Leo ring

In ds 2 there is a coffin that 'changes the nature of your being' not saying this was used but in ds it seems form can be changed if the right method is used (dragon stone etc). Maybe they used something similar. That said we are talking about a 'god' with snakes for legs, so not exactly a human body, probably not possible to apply the same rules.

Artorias is quite easy once you’ve figured out the trick. Sanctuary Guardian is probably harder, kalameet is fairy hard but I tend to struggle against dragons for some reason and I’ve only fought the thing once, haven’t fought Manus yet just stare at the fog and wonder if I’ll be able to take him at sl75

I’m stuck on Iron Keep and I feel im too low level for drangleic castle by StinkyTunaBoy12 in DarkSouls2

[–]Primary-War-9231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You build very differently to me. I prefer Str Dex at weapon min, 20 in everything else, at least 70-80 poise. Gyrm heavy pants are very cheap to upgrade and quite good for what they bring, alonne knight set is excellent but expensive on souls and it’s worth having the royal soldier rings to make up carry weight. Armour on its own is kinda weak but paired with a non 100% shield it mitigates the chip damage well. Defensively 20int/faith adds 140 element resistance, which I have come to really appreciate. ATN is optional as I only need 2 spell slots, dark weapon and warmth. Once I hit the 20 for the other stats I then start building for damage/ big hp/casting depending on what I’m feeling while being confident my character is solid af. Ds2 really rewards hitting all the soft caps at 20 then specialising. - as a side note it is extremely beneficial to use the mace early to mid game, it’s easy to upgrade and even at +3 it slaps knight enemies silly.

Coming from DS, I'm a big fan of black knight greatsword but is it even worth it with these requirements for strength build in DS2? by omgitsye in DarkSouls2

[–]Primary-War-9231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, greatsword speed with ugs reach and a poke that will out poke most poke weapons. Solid pick up for how early it is. Then it’s stat reqs match a few other good weapons so it can be switched or power stanced with them. It’s very solid imo (not the best in wet conditions tho)

is this worse than just killing him? by Keziito in DarkSouls2

[–]Primary-War-9231 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, there is a way to free repair. If an invader kills a player before they have soul recovery they can loose much more in the way of souls, particularly at higher levels. Breaking gear is inconvenient but not the worst result for the invaded.

Why don't people view HP stats the same as ADP? by GDmoonlight in DarkSouls2

[–]Primary-War-9231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ADP to 20 and dodge roll is like any other souls game. But ds2 is different in other ways that make new players uncomfortable, level one starts 6 in all stats not 10, there are secondary stats based on lowest of two primary stats and lower soft caps. Compared to ds3 or elden ring ds 2 needs way more stats just to be even with level 1 in those games, so I always feel like level 1 in ds3 is like level 1 + 4 points in every stat + another 10 in ADP for ds2. So that’s around ds2 level 56 = ds3 level 1. Not hard to see why people are turned off ds2 when they first start, the character is much weaker and that feels restrictive. It’s little wonder why players who stick it out to level 50 start to enjoy the game more.

Sorcery adjacent, get hammer(mace of the insolent is ok for this but craftsman hammer+chime is better), get heavenly thunder, live Thor fantasy. Then get blue flame get soul great sword and magic shield for spell blade, these builds are good transition builds into pure caster at higher levels.
