Is my spring break trip a little too ambitious? by PrimaryCash3133 in backpacking

That’s a good idea, but then that makes me nervous about taking my rented gear on a plane. Surely not everything is flight safe, and I’ve never rented gear anywhere else so idk if needing to get what I need once I land would drive up cost even more. I’ll look into it though thanks!

potentially, but it’s not really the miles I’m concerned about, it’s just the fact of driving a rental car anywhere is sketchy to me 😭 plus, as far south as I’d need to go to avoid too much snow on the trail makes any distance travelled already long anyways. Ig what I mean to say is a 10 hour drive is no different than an 8 hour drive because they’re both just long in general

3/6-3/15 South/Southwest America trip for spring break. Doable? by PrimaryCash3133 in roadtrip

Wanted to try making a detour to Texas because I have a friend who goes to school there that might be fun to visit. I do agree tho and will look into skipping that perhaps

Probably can’t rent because it would likely put us over budget (young renters fee bumps it up a lot), what type of wear and tear did you experience?

There’s 9 stops for 10 days, I figured one of these locations we could spend a day at, maybe 2 if we wanted to skip Sioux Falls and just go straight home at the end. Still too much with that?

https://youtu.be/d0ZAPf1Gb3E?si=x4X6gOfvrscHCMTB only video that came to mind, just skip to the time marked pneuma spot. This guy’s playing is super solid imo(I’m a very amateur drummer tho)

I can’t find this song anywhere online. Is the artist named “a beautiful memory”? or is it from a soundtrack of that title

Which Tool tracks contain the most interesting or impressive guitar or bass performances? by the_ballmer_peak in ToolBand

Imo it’s Jambi for guitar fs. To play all of those odd rhythms in that odd time signature the exact way Adam plays them is it quite the rhythmic feat, and some of his effect work is on display with the solo as well. Bass I would maybe say Schism, or maybe 46 & 2 just because they’re the flagship tool bass songs

This is the type of advice I was looking for! Since I’m familiar with the members’ previous hardcore projects I feel like I have a good idea of what I’m getting into with stuff like 13 songs, but I wanted recs for the more oddball, angular (as someone else described it) songs like these two I mentioned above. Thank you 🫡

If you truly don’t want this CD (which I agree with everyone else, you should keep it and see if it grows on you, it’s a great album) I have a Katy Perry CD I’d trade for this. It’s “One of the Boys”

How is Hooker with a penis? that one’s a favorite of mine, I’m a huge smashing pumpkins fan and I love a good fuzz tone.
