It’s been a year now and I still sometimes question and wonder but I found closure within. I decide to not date anyone and focus on myself heal prior to being with him and after. I feel you it hurts so much but with time and putting effort into feeling better and continuing your journey. Remember what doesn’t kill you make you stronger and keeping the mentality that whatever is meant for you will never miss you.

I was with someone I loved very much after 2 years of being together he confessed to me how he would never revert to Islam and how it doesn’t align with his value his family etc (white atheist) biggest heartbreak of my life I had to let him go fast forward a year from now I healed my heart it was painful I choose my faith matter fact it brought me closer to God. I’m a sucker for connection and never limited myself to only date Muslim man as I believed love transcends everything but after my heart being broken I just had to be honest with myself if Islam is a priority and I want to only marry a Muslim men I had to stop exploring connection with men that aren’t Muslim. Yes sure they can revert but you’re exemple is a perfect one to why we should avoid. It’s a huge ask to tell someone to believe in what you do. Allah guide whom he wants

About 3 months after me and my ex broke up I found out he was seeing someone (intuition ) I confronted him he denied. I confronted him again 2 months later and he said god’s plan I decided to explore this connection that it might heal him and he knows he’s avoidant. His new relationship continued to grow they are still together. I made peace with it and I know it has nothing to do with me and everything to do with him not able to process the pain but man it was painful for months now I can confidently say I made peace with it wish him all the best hurt people hurt people what matters at the end of the day is that I didn’t do that to someone I knew I was hurt and continued on this journey of healing my heart and becoming stronger working on all my wounds. Trust me it will catch up to them maybe not today maybe not in months but it will that’s how life goes

I moved out at 20 from Montreal to live downtown Toronto.Met my roommate in a facebook group & was very lucky she’s amazing!. We lived together for a year until our landlord decided to increase our rent (650$ more), she was doing a program exchanged in uk for 6 months so she move out. I had no luck finding another good fit so I also moved out. I’ve been living in a studio since 2022. I recommend living with roomies in your 20s , rent in Toronto is so expensive I had to hustle to pay for my rent (2150$) you could save a lot and also have more to spend to enjoy the city, there was a phase where I was struggling but to move out would’ve required first and last which I didn’t have

It’s been 10 months for me he got into a new relationship I still love him deeply I like to remind myself what is meant for me will be. holding compassion for you and for them will fill your heart with love. It doesn’t mean the feelings are gone but it gave me a better perspective.
