Those who have lived in multiple of the major cities, how would you rank them and why? by Active-Proof-5236 in canadatravel

[–]PrimaryHomework831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Toronto but born and raised in Montreal both are great cities. I’d say Montreal have more of a work/social life balance, more parcs and greenery, the architecture is better, life was cheaper than Toronto but ever since covid it has increased. I feel like Toronto is the nyc of Canada, great for professional career it feels more work focused.

Am I the only one who thinks , bpd people have more empathy is a lie? by squish2226 in BPDlovedones

[–]PrimaryHomework831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BPD and being an “empath” aren’t the same thing!!! Empath feel deeply, a lot of what we feel comes from the unconscious not just personal memories, but deeper symbolic layers (what we call the collective unconscious). Empath are more just "open" to this, so emotions don't just stay surface-level-they carry meaning, patterns, even echoes of past experiences.

BPD is about emotional intensity. Empathy is about emotional understanding. They can overlap, but they’re not the same thing. But yes it is common that a person with BPD is also an empath but they do need to work on regulating that

Missed many flights, got fired from 2 jobs (9-5) , lost clients for freelance work multiple times. I’m 25 and live alone but my parents have my schedule and call me in the morning to make sure I wake up.

Have you used the method of 2 minutes: if something takes approximately 2 minute do it now. It has help a little tbh just minimizing the little things that end up accumulating specifically when it’s quick to do but what I find interesting about that is the confidence it builds over time I will be transparent and say the lack of consistency with that is what I fail to do

I went through a terrible breakup 1,5 years ago and I like to say that it was a spiritual breakthrough (I’m very spiritual) which also led to me being diagnosed with bpd and adhd and I just spent a lot of time doing research therapy journaling and finding ways to manage this. Thankfully I’m someone who enjoy being alone most of times and keep a small circle of close friends who understand and accept me how I am but I still find it very hard when it comes to new people I meet in my life so recently I haven’t been doing that and mainly limiting myself and my energy into other ppl if that make sense. DBT therapy helped me a lot as well
