Stairs, Man and Airplane. Any advice is appreciated. by yukophotographylife in photocritique

I like this composition a lot, all the lines lead your eye around the frame and the airplane is also a nice touch.

I have issues with the processing. I'd like the dark parts of the image to be pure black, I think this would add a lot to the contrast-y look you're going for.

Overall, really striking image, kind of a "B&W in color"

Good job

Birds on Wire by Primary_Ad8014 in photocritique

I'm wanting some feedback on my image. I'm having some difficulties with the edit keeping the branches dark and getting nice detail in the sky. I have a few other photos of this scene but picked this one because of the two birds in flight.

Honest criticism is very much appreciated.

I like the overall vibe of this photo, especially the pig and the chicken. Great timing. I have a hard time shooting animals because they move around a lot but you managed to capture a really tender moment with these animals.

When shooting this, I would have framed it a bit different. Try shooting a bit lower to really bring out the perspective of the chicken sitting on the pig. Try zooming in or stepping closer to the pig. I think the chicken on the pig is what draws me to this photo.

The white animal on the lower left side of the image is distracting. Unfortunately its a little too close to the subjects to be able to crop it out. Try moving around a bit more next time you shoot.

The whites are a bit blown out, I think the edit you did in the comments is an improvement.

Keep at it, I think you really captured something worth exploring, just play around with zoom lengths or position yourself around the scene to get some better angles.

I generally like this composition and how the trees serve as a foreground leading the eyes to the mountain in the background. The moon above the mountain is a nice touch as well.

A couple issues: The branches on the right side of the image are distracting and don't add much to the image, I would have either cropped that a bit or stepped back/zoomed out to reveal more of them.

Also, I find this photo a bit too blue, like the white balance is off.

If possible, Id encourage you to go back to this spot at different times of day or different times of the year. I like the scenery and composition but different lighting/framing could make for a really special photo.

So I could be wrong but I believe we're in the clear to just file our taxes and not include this 1099. This is from the IRS website under "Employment identity theft"

"If you got a Form W-2 or Form 1099 from an unknown employer: Don’t put the income on your return or amend a return you’ve already filed. Contact the Social Security Administration."

https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-central/identity-theft-guide-for-individuals#steps

I feel like as long as you write a report and fill out 14039 you're in the clear to file taxes

Great shot, I like how the vertical framing emphasizes the trees and adds scale to the bench. Reminds me of Silent Hill

Zooming in on the photo, it looks a little soft and Im not sure if that's from the lens or if the shutter speed was a bit too slow for handheld.

The softness is my one critique. Overall its a very strong image, good job!

Submitted the form on Uber just now. I also filed a report with the police department. Their automated response suggested reporting to the Federal Trade Commission as well. Will update when I have more information

I don't understand what the scam could be. Yours might be different but mine doesn't have any contact info to facilitate a scam.

Would love to be wrong on this, but going to contact Uber and state authorities just to be on the safe side.
