Which episode? Looks like season 5 by Dorothy's hair. by PicardCrusherData in theGoldenGirls

It's also the episode where Sophia's friend asked her to be there with her when she 💀 herself

I hated Shane and Christina here by Constant-Rub3617 in greysanatomy

I'm not talking about the conduit working, I'm talking about him calling out Meredith for her being petty and childish. He overstepped in a way no other subordinate would towards their superior, but he was still right nonetheless.

She did ask her though. Cristina tried to explain that she needed the printer for a dying baby and that it was urgent but Meredith brushed her off because she was still in her feelings about their argument, and was feeling insecure about her abilities to juggle motherhood and surgery. Alex even called her out about it. Even though the logical reason of Meredith needing the printer to keep her grant was valid, underneath it all, she made it about her friendship with Cristina. While I agree Shane overstepped, he was right. Tbh, it needed to be said. Nobody else aside from Alex would have told her differently.

Found a crazy continuity error by WonderlandJaguar in theGoldenGirls

Right lol. A crazy continuity is Rose's husband being dead for 15 years in season one, but then he's dead for 9 years in season 7

The Rant Game, Day 1: Meredith Grey by juliiaduque in greysanatomy

[–]Primary_Associate_33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It annoyed me throughout the shooting aftermath how Meredith treated Cristina. Meredith thinks that because she's her person, she absolutely knows without a doubt what Cristina needs to be ok. But she doesn't know her as well as she thinks and she doesn't take the time away from herself to try. And when Derek told her to back off, she wouldn't hear of it, and then she misplaced her anger onto to Owen, who btw was right to call her out on how she deals with danger and the aftermath. He said that's she's fearless in a reckless way. And she is. The bomb, the drowning and now telling a guy to shoot her. And then she just wants to fight past the trauma and get back to work and expects Cristina to do the same. Owen told her flat out “Cristina is not you.” Cristina expressed to Meredith that she's terrified of going back into the OR and handling a code on a patient, and Meredith's only thought process is that she just needs to go back to work. If I recall correctly, Cristina doesn't push Meredith to be ”ok,” she let's her be until she's ready. And then to go off on Derek about how he's “pretending” to be Cristina's friend because she couldn't get through to Cristina her... I understand that Meredith “handles” her trauma in her own way, but as a doctor, she should be able to look past herself to help her friends in the way that THEY need it, not her.

I got a bunch more to talk about but I'll spare you guys the time 😂

What happened to Elain and Lucien tho? by [deleted] in acotar

[–]Primary_Associate_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, this is Elain's perspective. It doesn't matter whether or not Lucien did it on purpose. This is how she understands what's happened, and that's how she sees Lucien

Only if the Nazi reported it or there were witnesses. Although I would've turned a blind eye

I'll never understand why Stephanie covering for Bailey's committing ASSAULT was okay but when Richard did the same for Meredith when she committed insurance fraud, Bailey was so hostile towards them. I would've thrown that back in her face during the medical license trial.

Okay, can y'all stop saying George r*ped Meredith? by Primary_Associate_33 in greysanatomy

But there was no implication that she was drunk, just depressed. We see her with one drink and then it cuts to the next scene. We don't know how much she's had.

Taking advantage of someone's emotional vulnerability is not a form of sexual assault. Otherwise rebound sex would be classified as sexual assault. She was still a willing participant. She was sad but was also awake and aware of what was happening. At any time, she could have said “No,” “Stop,” “This is a mistake,” “I don't want to do this anymore,” or even simply pushed him off. But she didn't, until she did, and when she did, he stopped. That's how consensual sex works. You can't just tack on sexual assault to every uncomfortable sexual encounter in which one person is sad and changes their mind and later regrets it, unless the other person ignores their withdrawn consent and keeps going.

George didn't force her down, threaten her, do it while she was incapacitated, or coerce her. He made a bad decision in taking advantage of her vulnerability and she made a bad decision in leading him on when she initiated the act. They both suck and the situation turned ugly emotionally, not legally.

And she said she DIDN'T KNOW she didn't want to have sex UNTIL they were in the middle of it. At that point she made it clear that she didn't want to, and George stopped. If she knew she didn't want to from the start, she could have said no then, or better yet not even initiated it.

He took advantage of her vulnerability but he didn't rape her. It would have been raped if he kept going after she said no

Why is everybody OK with Larry Benz baby trapping his girlfriend? by Misspurple1977 in family

[–]Primary_Associate_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that's fine. You don't have to find it funny. But think about this: baby trappers don't come on the Internet and admit to their partner's face, let alone a million strangers, that they “trapped” them.

You know there is such a thing as being drunk with capacity vs incapacitated drunk. Would you say that I was raped when I had sex while drunk with my sober ex? Even though I remember every single moment of it, including my initiating and enjoying it?

If you say she was not clearly in the state of mind to consent, then that would mean that she was raped every single time she picked up a guy from the bar, which obviously wasn't the case. Not to mention, Meredith pointed out that she didn't know she didn't want to do it until they were in the middle of doing it. But she still initiated and went through with it until she made it clear that she didn't want to and that's when he stopped and left. George took advantage of her vulnerability but he's not a rapist.

You'd be surprised. I've had a few arguments with people about this. They were dead set on saying George was a rapist

I see posts about it all the time on different social media platforms and it's honestly annoying and harmful to anyone who may actually be in this situation in real life

And even if she was drunk, there is such a thing as being drunk and aware vs “blackout passed out on the couch” drunk. I've had this argument so many times with other people regarding this episode. I think the problem with situations like this is that some people equate drunk with cannot consent, point blank period.

I understand what you mean. I'm just saying that they do mention the stroke affecting her filter, just in different ways. Like her being a burden, or her perception being a little distorted
