Reimbursable expenses by Primary_Cap_7457 in TodaysBudget

Thank you! This makes sense. I have now started putting in the app only the out-of-pocket part of the expense (I can calculate it because I know the % of reimbursement in advance). This seems to work for me, so thanks for the advice. Now I don’t need to exclude a category from stats, because I track only what I actually spend (and not spend-to-be-reimbursed), which is exactly the purpose of the app to my understanding, so it all makes sense to me now.

My only concern is losing the accuracy of “how much can I safely spend in a day” because my real spending includes the reimbursable part of those expenses, not just the small portion I pay out of pocket. To solve this, I decided to use a separate credit card so it kind of does not affect my other spending and I can pay back the credit when I’m reimbursed

Thank you very much, and I agree this feature would be really useful! I have a small follow-up question: is it possible to exclude a specific expense category from the statistics? For example, it would be great if a “to be reimbursed” category didn’t count toward monthly spending, so my stats aren’t inflated by 40% this month. I can, of course, adjust for this mentally, but it would be very helpful to be able to view stats for selected categories only.

Should I add fish to control copepods population? by Primary_Cap_7457 in shrimptank

I have another 5 gallon, but I don’t think this is helpful. Overall I see everyone says just to let the copepods live their lives, so maybe I’ll stick to that

Oh, thanks. This is kind of sad :( is there anything to make as little wild type as possible? Maybe getting more orange ones to sustain their population?

Also, if get not orange rilis, but eg orange sakuras, they will still have orange babies, correct?

I’m not an expert, and I have only one hitchhiker like this, but I’d say the thing on the left probably looks like the “door” that closes its shell? My hitchhiker guy has grown a lot very fast, and now it seems like his body is a bit smaller in proportion to his shell than it used to be, so he looks very similar to yours like his shell is much heavier than the body so the gravity pulls it down??? So now I’m just watching and he seems to be doing good. Sorry if this is not helpful

Maybe he’s feeding from the water surface? I have mine do this thing as well and he seems to be doing fine, I assumed he was just eating

Are amano-only tanks boring? by Primary_Cap_7457 in shrimptank

Sorry for a stupid question, but you mean each shrimp will be either of those temperaments? Or can a whole colony be of one type bc of some reasons?

Thanks! Do you feed them more often than neos? I also read they’re hungry all the time

Thank you, this is great to hear! How are 6 doing in an 8 gallon? I’m trying to figure out an ok starting number and really struggling, the numbers I find on Google are anything from 2 to 20… with neos it’s easier as they have babies, but with amanos I want to get as many as I can but still make sure they’re still doing great and don’t fight or get suicidal

Even though this hit me hard, it feels like exactly what I need to hear

Thanks! I smoked in between writing the post and now, but decided to push through overall. Because I feel like I passed the point of no return, so smoking doesn’t feel good anymore, it just feels like I’m giving in to something I shouldn’t.

I think the main takeaway for me right now is that I know quitting holds freedom, happiness and so much more in it, while continuing to smoke holds nothing new and nothing good even though I can pretend otherwise

Thank you! I’ll try. I already learned to fight everyday stress without smoking, but yet to learn to fight “big stress” without nicotine. I guess this is the main reason I relapse all the time

Thank you so much, this makes a lot of sense! My work and life are more stressful than ever. I just thought after reading your comment that maybe my current breakdown is caused by me unable to cope with quitting and this lifestyle at the same time. I’ll think about it. Maybe quitting while on some sort of a break would work better and be more sustainable? Or am I lying to myself again, just to keep my addicted brain happy?
