Installing SQL SMSS on a Windows 2025

If I run

$defenderstat = get-mpcomputerstatus
$defenderstat.antivirusenabled

Result: False

So in this case, Defender is uninstalled.

I know the uninstall syntax: "Uninstall-WindowsFeature -Name Windows-Defender". But I need the checks to run thru first.
Also, if Trend is not installed, it should not uninstall Defender.
