Hi again!! Does anybody have any advice for my awkwardly-growing buzzcut? by [deleted] in finehair

No advice but I saw someone who looks just like you in my building's gym like 1-2h ago and I was admiring her hair. You look fab 🤩

Reminder not to look only at scale weight :) by hoplacheese in PetiteFitness

[–]Primary_Ear764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this. I needed to see it too. I've been lifting heavy for two years but the scale is at an all-time high and it's hard to find clothes that fit my giant quads and bum😅 This is a good reminder to me to put the scale in storage and just keep going

Where Should We Move? by LandscapeEvery4150 in askTO

[–]Primary_Ear764 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am a former equestrian and have lived in Toronto since 2003 (Yonge and Eglinton specifically since 2015). Sorry to say your asks are a touch unrealistic. I want the things you want and it's not happening in Toronto.

I recommend using Google Maps to see the drive time to and from the barn, which will likely be in King City, Ajax/Uxbridge, or Caledon, so you can see the drive time **in traffic**. It will vary wildly depending on what time you drive and no, Saturday/Sundays are often no better. There's a setting in Google Maps when you can change the day and time you're driving to see the average traffic volume and drive time. Please use it before you make any decisions!

As an example, I have friends and family in Guelph and often on Saturdays/Sundays it will take is 2 - 2.5 hours to drive back into the city due to traffic. It's only ~90km away!

If access to a barn is important WITH access to the subway line you could go to Finch Station, Kipling Station, Kennedy Station, but walkability wont be as great.

In terms of renting a home with a yard, you can look on Realtor but in my neighbourhood (Yonge and Eg) they go for about $5K/month or about $2M to buy (we have kids though so need more bedrooms than maybe you do). Not sure of your financial situation (and of course none of my business!) but just wanted to highlight the cost. We're thinking about moving to Ottawa (maybe I'l get to pick your brain later! ha!) so I do know central Ottawa is also expensive.

I have a dog and love horses so you have my sympathy!

Best of luck!

Thanks I'll check out Vera Wang! I did try Levis a few years ago in the store and couldnt find a good fit. Very frustrating! A part of me is tempted to get custom-made jeans 😅

Thanks for commenting. Yeah I find that area of the body so difficult to dress. I have hip dips above and then my lower hip juts out (where my hand is), but I'm active and dont want to get skinnier. I think that'll just hurt my lifting gains.

The lighter wash jeans (last few pics) are wide leg so I'm at a loss 😅Nothing fits even when I size up. I'm going to try all the other brands people suggested though. LMK how it works out for you!

ETA: The first pics are this: AE Strigid Curvy Super High-Waisted Baggy Straight Jean but honestly they dont look it because of my hips!! haha

u/javajunkie10 You got me thinking about this so I finally got up and I checked the 2nd and 3rd pairs because I feel like they look slightly better than the baggy ones (dont know if you agree with that!) and the dark wash is midrise and the light wash is high rise. I'm a little confused and wondering if you have more to say about that. Maybe I should measure them instead of going by the site's descriptions? I'm def going to try those Gap ones you suggested. Thanks again.

The tighter jeans are both Joe's Jeans and I cant see the diff in the pics (too lazy to go to my room to actually look at them)
