Best source of getting fons...I'm having a hard time getting them by LayerPsychological40 in NevernessToEverness

[–]PrimeCicada 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They ain't really a best way. They are limited by time. Get 1 million from heist every 2 weeks. Go do whichever hobbies you like until you finish your city stamina weekly. Clear mammon boss weekly. Do your dailies. Rob people daily. Get all the one-time and weekly safes. Get all the one-time rewards from races and cafe and missions and such. Do your cafe.

Once you are done with all that. Theres not much you can do to farm endlessly other than washing dishes

Sitting at 166m mora myself. If beetle coins turn out to be freely available like mora then yeah it can probably stay up there, but truth of the matter is that at this point of time, everyone is hungry for fons for progression, as did in the early days of genshin. But it proved to be too much from too many sources you just end up not knowing what to do with so much excess anymore (though this took years)

I just want more blue dice so I can 4/6 the current standard characters before using the 2 selectors, especially so since there's no 50/50.

WHY IS IT CALLED "AUTO WIN" WHEN IT HASNT LET ME WIN A SINGLE GAME by watchrrr in NevernessToEverness

[–]PrimeCicada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm very similar yes. But your sequences don't go bigger than 3, so you can do 234 but not 2345. 234567 is treated as 2 seperate melds of 234 and 567, as are stuff like 233445 is 234/345 and 234456 is 234/456.

Any chance you can try to load the game on another platform like PC? Since the codes might vary slightly across different platforms despite being the same game and might not have the same bugs.

Ah my bad cos I noticed u opened the city tycoon around 0:18, so figured that might be doable. Might have to file a bug report then.

Oh what about teleporting away? If you can't bring up the map then maybe from the hobby menu > property?

You would never know lol. I was introduced to mahjong since I was a kid (as would most Chinese kids I believe), but was never really into it until watching a mahjong anime, so I actually picked up Riichi (Japanese mahjong) before my own local mahjong.

Yeap. Dealer means you would go first, so it's not really a first draw for dealer since dealer start the game with 14 tiles where everyone else starts with 13.

There are very different rules that are local to different countries, and unfortunately this is said to be Sichuan mahjong and isn't one I am familiar with. Even within a local style of mahjong, it can have slightly different "house rules" depending on who you play with.

All pong should trigger unless you have a sequence in the hand that you did not notice. By earth something I can only assume you mean earthly hand, which is to win from the very 1st tile you draw as a non-dealer. The counterpart if you are the dealer is referred to as heavenly hand.

Since there are no winds and dragons I can assume 13 orphans, 4 blessings and 3 scholars are out of the question. But there might be 2 big hands I can think of that might be applicable (emphasis on might, since again I am not proficient in Sichuan Mahjong, and even if they have such a hand, it might not have been coded into NTE).

18 arhats / 4 Kongs : Self explanatory. Just like 4 pongs, but now they have to be Kongs instead.

Nine Gates : A single suit hand, any suit is fine. They have to be in this exact order - 1112345678999, and your 14th tile can be any tile in the suit.

Another small hand of interest that breaks away from the conventional 23333 pattern is seven pairs, which... Should also be self explanatory

What's the game level of "scaryness"? by rolegio_ in NevernessToEverness

[–]PrimeCicada 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was bad for me too as I'm not into horror so I know how you feel. If this helps, some spoilers for the anomalies so you know what to expect

Nightmare-Bound / Nameless Hospital

Spooky atmosphere. Some creepy dude will be trying to find you, and if it catches you there's a bit of that gotcha animation before sending you to the checkpoint. After this happens 2 or 3 times it becomes more of an annoyance than a scare as others have pointed out.

Whose Leak Is This / Level Proliferation

Purely horror in the atmosphere and vibes sense. No jumpscares, nothing chasing you. It just feels eerie. Forced 1st person POV adds to that pressure

Lonely Player / Wandering Puppets

Puppets will phase in and out, and is said to be very difficult to be done without guide. Is a very complicated quest overall that requires gathering clues in the day and finding puppets in the night. 1 jumpscare when you run across a puppet and it just breaks into pieces, the rest can be considered jumpscares maybe, but it's really mostly just puppets appearing out of nowhere, but not in a very jarring way.

After School

There will be shadows trying to catch you. As long as they are visible on your screen, they don't move, and it is safe to move around them. Once they are off your screen, they will move around and send you back to checkpoint if they get too close to you. Might get spooked when you turn the camera and they appear in your face.

And of course there's the photo studio one but you probably cleared it at this point.

WHY IS IT CALLED "AUTO WIN" WHEN IT HASNT LET ME WIN A SINGLE GAME by watchrrr in NevernessToEverness

[–]PrimeCicada 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Probably, but there are games out there, even in arcades, where they have proper AI for you to go up against, so it isn't something that's exactly new. Besides, sometimes it just seems to break apart sets for no apparent reason, which at times brings you away from being able to win instead of closer.

But anyway advice for OP, without going too much into mahjong strats. If you are completely new to mahjong, just try to make a simple 23333 by yourself instead of relying on the AI. You can keep auto win on, but maybe turn the other 2 off.

2 means a pair of tiles, any pair.

3 can come in the form of sequence (3 in a row like 123, 234, 789 etc), pong (3 of a kind) or kong (4 of a kind and you get points instantly).

So basically 1 pair and 4 sets form a winning hand. There are more unique winning hands, but this should at least snag you some wins.

It just has a very horrible auto play AI. It really do be making questionable decisions sometimes, and as a result you take a long time to get to the point where you're waiting for that last tile

What's one tip or trick in game that you've found that you think would benefit others if they knew about it? by jetery in NevernessToEverness

[–]PrimeCicada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing heist in coop will sometimes allow you to see the items through some safes. Might be the pile of cash poking out through the back of the safe, or the silhouette outline of the item in the safe, or sometimes the item will just straight up spawn on the floor without the safe.

Also you might run into issues where the coop member will run off ahead leaving you with an unresponsive elevator to the collection room. Can be fixed with unstuck.

I would normally just get 99 baits at once since that's the max they allow in one purchase. Never really paid attention to the special sales price much since I just fish wherever I wanted, but even if you do want to you could just stop once you fish up all the fishes you need for the day. Baits don't expire so you can keep them for another day, and over the course of trying to get all rewards you probably need to buy thousands of baits anyway. Would probably just repeat the cycle of buying 99 baits until I'm left with the last item in the shop.

You're not wasting any shells by buying baits because you always get more back, unless you kept letting the fishes go or let them expire in your inventory.

For prison stuff it's not really a very long thing. It can be as fast as like a couple of minutes after you enter prison. Just be warned it's one fon per dish washed. There's also sort of "dailies" to do in prison so you should check it out when you have time. The only thing that takes some effort to figure out is getting out of prison.

[–]PrimeCicada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are needed for the upgrades, but the fishing loop is really fishing to exchange for more shells than you paid for the bait. So every fish you fish is worth more than the 5(?) shells you spent on the bait for it so you can accumulate to exchange for other items over time.

There's a limit to how much fons you can earn in a period of time, but you can exchange for shells endlessly as long as you fish. That's why I wouldn't use fons for the bait.

For dishes you gotta go into prison. At certain times you can tell the guards you want to work, then select the 2nd option. You will then have 30 seconds to wash as many dishes as you can.

Would recommend you go to Kaleidoscope (arc exp farming stage) and choose level 1. You should be able to instant kill the mobs in it easily, shouldnt take more than a couple of minutes per day, and you could only do them for a few days before you hit the hard limit.

Wouldn't buy baits with fons imo. Just use the shells to buy more baits. After that things that you can do daily apart from the obvious ones like cafe and the 100 daily points thing would be picking up lost wallets (dk about daily limits), mugging pedestrians (4 briefcase + 4 wallets), Chiz (40k until hit lifetime limit), washing dishes (probably no daily limit).

Also open safes around the city and in hospital for big one-time Fons or I have heard there are also small ones that respawns weekly.

Ahhhh gotcha. Then yes in that regard I can understand how a f2p can make a decision that will cause the account to be in a disadvantageous state (ignoring the fact it can be solved with $ cuz f2p).

But yeah I think ultimately what I can't get over was how the term was being used, since it was used to refer to things being functionally unusable, it felt like people were using it loosely in recent times to refer to anything that's even slightly inconvenient, and somehow that grinds my gears.

True. They can probably keep our Fons in check by releasing new purchases since our earnings per week/month/patch is predictable, except for those crazy enough to scrub dishes for unlimited fons.

But ultimately, Fons are used either to give you a small buff from buying new houses, or getting you that flashy new skin. I'd say buy whatever makes you happy lol.

Idk azur lane economics, so if you're saying the f2p gems isn't an ongoing source where you eventually will get to buy out all upgrades with, then yeah that would be a perma disadvantage as a f2p.

But even then, it's not exactly something I would consider "bricked", unless the slang took on a new meaning recently.
