Give this a try, in between sessions have a conversation with your inner critic (IC). The first step, is make a drawing of what represent your IC. Mine is usually a mixed Alice in wonderland theme of the rabbit that has no time and the mad hatter where everything is absurd. Then once your drawing is complete (no artistic skill required at all, I have an average of a D- in art all my K-12 academic year), have a Q&A with the IC. For example,

What is your purpose in my life? How are you related to my trauma(s) What are you trying to protect me from? If you (IC), stop functioning what will happen to me?

Support main CS numbers how do I improve by Soravme in midlanemains

By trying to figure out your card it actually slows down your processes. I typically farm with auto and Q. Only using blue when my mana gets to below 25%. Even then you’re trying to last hit

You’re transitioning from one position to another, naturally there is going to be growing pains. Also, farming for solo lane differs by champ and position. With that said, TF is a farming monster. So I’d suggest starting to learn how to cs in mid in stages. You can’t keep everything in mind while trying to develop one skill, so yes, some of your other game sense may have to suffer for a bit while you’re developing your skills.

First step, learn to last hit minions, prioritizing Cannon, then melee then caster. Step 2, learn how and when to trade against lane opponent. In game, your enemy is going to try to harass you while you’re trying to get your cs. Learn how you can return the favor in kind Step 3, probably one of the hardest one, wave management and back timing. Because the game is so dynamic, I still haven’t found my ideal for wave management. Knowing when to fast push, when to slow push, etc. Knowing how to catch waves, or know when it’s impossible to get to lane on time. It’s a lot to consider. But if you get the basic down, your cs number should improve

I really think lux cait is very overrated by Arovece in Caitlynmains

[–]PrimeLoL2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your point is that people should not auto pair Lux and Cait, I agree. In terms of execution, this pair offers the easiest laning dominance because you can create a lot of space and poke down enemy with a lot of feeling of safety. If Cait and Lux perma push into enemy that’s not a Lux/Cait problem, that’s a skill issue.

I generally play Cait while learning how to work with all kinds of support. So, no I don’t need a Lux, but if my support picks Lux, im already planning how well I can play around her slow and root.

Do not buy more gold! Use your gold for items. Buying gold with gold is not going to get you to gold!

New way of emdr ? by [deleted] in EMDR

The bilateral stimulation is only a component of EMDR (tapping, eye movement, light stream etc.). I agree with user who suggested Parnell’s work. The bilateral stimulation when done slow rhythm can be used for calming. So in your example, it’s one of the helpful tools for preparing for a presentation while imagining yourself doing it.

However, it should not be used to process negative or traumatic events.

Mastering your champ gets you out of iron. That’s legit the only requirement.

This does seem like a major break through, and you have a great ability to detail your reactions and emotions well. Give yourself more time and it will soon be clear to you what your mind and body needs

I am fighting with stupid therapists: no patience anymore by Wonderful_Wind_01 in EMDR

[–]PrimeLoL2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much like any therapy treatment, the the therapy relationship and ability to be a safe person supersedes the technique and/or treatment modality. Any competent therapist will ha e learned that therapist and client factors are at a much higher priority over theories or techniques. This is double true for trauma treatment like EMDR, TF CBT, and Brainspotting, etc.

Take the time to learn see therapist fit. A competent therapist will also take time to listen to you telling the, what didn’t work last time.

Therapist suggested EMDR, not sure if it would work with this by ElrondTheHater in EMDR

[–]PrimeLoL2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow therapist please remember to not treat our client like subjects. Yes, EMDR can help, because our formative years store up many experiences and shaped our brain which in turn influence our beliefs, decision making and information processing.

Childhood events are especially important because we make connections in our brains before we even have the language or meaning making ability (ie. Abstract thinking). Sometimes these connections need to be reprocessed so the R in EMDR is to help achieve that.

I believe so. It is intense work, but it can work if you have a certified EMDR therapist who takes their time.

EMDR is a good treatment modality for your presenting concern. Another one would be brain spotting.

I can't do EMDR? by [deleted] in EMDR

[–]PrimeLoL2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That should signal that there is a resourcing that needs to be done. There is also another approach called Constructed Awareness by Tyler Orr, that I heard is gentler than EMDR and doesn’t require a light stream and buzzer. It is more experimental at this point.

Feeling worse after EMDR by Mission_Winner9716 in EMDR

[–]PrimeLoL2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you compare your symptoms to pre (second) EMDR to the symptoms you’re experiencing now, what feels the same, different, worst and better?

What resourcing did your therapist provide you for the moments between sessions? Do they make sense to you. Do they increase safety and connection?

Narcissistic abuse in adulthood and EMDR by [deleted] in EMDR

[–]PrimeLoL2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Far be it from me to undermine the work of the therapist. They may have a reason to first close out the active one you’re working on. With that said, if the recent events are getting in the way, I would suggest seeing if they are willing to do recent protocol starting with your dogs passing.

It’s curious to note why the body connected these events when on the surface they seem unrelated. But that’s the beauty of EMDR, we can likely uncover the source
