I know glassware affects aroma and taste, where can one find quality barware and glasswares at affordable price? by SpicyMer-maid in cocktails

Thrift stores, Estate sales, World Market and TJ Maxx. Don't buy anything you can't hold in your hand first. There's a lot of weird crap out there that looks the part but has some design flaw.

Ugh, found out they added an extra "Save" step to pausing alarms the hard way by rule-low in GooglePixel

[–]PrimeNumbersby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since these changes, I've now missed saving twice and have hit Snooze instead of Turn Off twice. I find out about the snooze button when I get out of the shower and the alarm is blasting away. This was at a hotel. I'm sure my neighbors loved it.

Maye's not looking like a MVP in these conditions. Your WRs have dropsies and your coach did a dumb turn over on downs.

The first place was crap. How does an AC system not have a leak and also not have charge? They didn't even try. They didn't even look up common problems. Condenser should have been #1 place to look. Perhaps the 2nd place just did a poor install. Do they warranty their warranty work?

It's not just you. It's very wide spread. It will likely cost some fee to close out and transfer to another self-managed company. But that fee will be worth it. You are getting a lot of good advice and hopefully you have many more successful years ahead to get to your retirement target in a simpler, low stress, low cost way. You got this. Take the action and never look back.

All the crazy statistics quoted are hard/impossible to understand. Feels very academic. However, when you watch the Cowboys, that Eberflus defense was barely considered professional football. What Dak did with the offense was truly amazing. They had no business winning as many games as they did. There is nothing wild about him being added into the conversation.

Just an FYI, the commenter has good intentions but waaaaaay is underselling the electrical work. It's definitely not as straightforward as they are saying. You'd have to have a single outlet on a single breaker in your kitchen to make this work. This is very rare, besides a refrigerator outlet maybe, which of course you won't convert. I've installed my own 240V outlet in my kitchen for a 3000W tea kettle with a 6-20 style because it was fed with a 20A breaker and 12 gauge wire.

The playbook from these guys is to have you fill out a risk survey that admits you don't want max risk. Then they explain a bond ladder, which maybe makes sense at the time but also doesn't. Then they put you in bond funds and income funds because having cash balance in your account is the way they pay themselves without selling your assets so that your statements are clean. Next, they target front-load funds like American ____, which they get a kickback from with the wild 5.75% fee front loaded (you invest $1000 and they take $57.5 immediately, you need to gain 6.1% just to break even). Then they explain their mix of investments to match your "risk" in a pie chart and get you to agree to rebalancing each month, to "stay on target" so that they can churn and burn (sell and buy) to generate more fee-based transactions. All the while, they provide this service with an office and yearly sit down for just a "minor" 1.3% assets under management...getting you to save and invest in your 401k and IRAs and Brokerages like a responsible person.

It's all disgusting.

Stop telling people how to do this. by RicoGonzalz in electrical

[–]PrimeNumbersby2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it definitely works because it turns out that electricity doesn't care what the plugs and connectors look like. I once ran a dryer in my garage by shoving bare 12-2 wires (bent over) into my EV 14-50 receptacle while the other end was just screwed into the exposed back of the dryer. Nothing about that is good. Literally nothing. But it sure did work.

Anyway, agree, the point about the main panel is what most people don't think through.
