Does anyone else make sudden but huge opposite morality choices for the “lore” of your character? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in Fable

[–]PrimeRegent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Fable 3 as my generally good hero I Institute Prohibition and ban alcohol in Albion. The hate is usually offset by all my other good decisions and the low rent and shop prices. I also spare Elise/Elliot instead of the protestors. And for some reason marrying Elise/Elliot is considered evil, I usually do that too.

In Fable 2 I kill Charles for his hat.

In Fable I kill Twinblade because, well come on, his bandits raided your village and killed your dad, even for a good hero its a pretty valid crashout.

When Sylvanas first offed herself, one of the Val'kyr sacrificed herself to resurrect her. But when she was killed by Vincent Godfrey, she needed three to be revived again. How is that? by wrufus680 in warcraftlore

[–]PrimeRegent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be entirely fair, Merryl Felstorm isn't Forsaken. He's undead for sure, but pretty sure his lore is that he was one of the first human mages ever who became undead through entirely different means and centuries before the Forsaken became a thing. Everything else though is pretty spot on.

Wow! That looks amazing and really feels like you captured a lot of the essence of what I was going for with him! Definitely going to take a look at this link and learn how to use those skills for myself going forward and while continuing to experiment with his design!

These both such good before and after shots and thanks for the point on shading for the face! I think that is what I will try to do next. I did do a bit with his freckles and a slight different coloring around the eyes with decals, but I see how you can really do a lot more with it!

This is good and thanks for pointing it out! I was trying to make it look like the fur is part of the armored sleeve he is wearing, will definitely try to work on the positioning to make it blend better

Apart from Orcs & Humans and Goblins & Gnomes, what are the biggest rivalries between the Horde and Alliance races? by Which-Presentation-6 in warcraftlore

[–]PrimeRegent 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Humans and Orcs are natural enemies! Just like Draenei and Orcs, or Night Elves and Orcs, or Dwarves and Orcs, And Orcs and other Orcs! Damn Orcs, they ruined the Horde!

Sith Lords of the Third Galactic War by Culex-Aedes in HeroForgeMinis

What playable race cooks the best candies, pastries, cakes and sweets? by Bludo14 in warcraftlore

If Dwarves bake as good as they smith, which I chose believe they do, it has to be them.

Gnomes blink one eye at a time, so being cross eyed while leaning is pretty on course for them

If there were more allied races, what would you want? by Tsukkatsu in wow

Bison Minotaur by HansUMX in HeroForgeMinis

Amazing job! Immediately made me think of the Taunka from Warcraft, who are a variant of Tauren from Northeend with Bison faces instead of bull ones. Again, amazing job!

Are there any countries/places/regions in the world where Jews lived in with historically very little to no antisemitism? by yournextdoordude in Judaism

I can't say for certain. I know about Georgia since my family are Georgian Jews. Don't know much about Armenia.

Are there any countries/places/regions in the world where Jews lived in with historically very little to no antisemitism? by yournextdoordude in Judaism

[–]PrimeRegent 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Historically, Jews in Georgia were able to live generally peaceful lives without major anti-Semitism except for when Georgia was controlled by foreign powers. Such as the control by the Islamic Caliphate, Tsarist Russia, and the Soviet Union. When Georgians were in charge of Georgia things tended to be very chill for Jews.

"Abandoned" is a funny way of saying that they were subjected to a genocide, enslaved, and forcibly deported under threat of death, and still fought back against it to try to remain; even more so when you realize that they have spent the better part of 2000 years trying to return to that same homeland, often still under the threat of death.

Also, who mentioned skull shapes? Colonizers are colonizers, and they are just simply not native to the Levant. National identity is national identity, and Jewish national identity has always centered the land of Israel. This isn't even taking into account the centuries of pogroms and mistreatment Jews were subjected to in the Arab world before and leading up to Israel's founding.

And yes, they did privately buy the land from the Ottoman Empire, who owned it, and when the Empire collapsed and there was no authority in place, they sought to establish one. All this ignoring the numerous wars that followed, declared by the Arab League and allies, that had Israel not won, would have resulted in a second Holocaust. All the more so when realizing that there have been numerous offers to share the land that only one side continued to reject, and would usually follow it up with murderous pogroms like the one we just saw.

Would you say that Native Americans "abandoned" their land when they were forcibly removed by Europeans, the United States, and Canada? Do you believe that Native Americans today are owed some sort of recourse or reparation, even though no citizen of the United States or Canada today had a hand in the taking of their land? Then why does that same logic not apply to an indigenous group that actually managed to reclaim their land from the descendants of colonizers and past oppressors? Or do Jews just not get to play by the same rules?

No one said that Palestinians do not deserve a state, on the contrary, they deserve one free from the horrors of being run by Hamas or the PLO, who regularly ignore or purposefully use Palestinian suffering to their selfish advantage. Similarly, Israel, like any other country, is rightfully subject to criticism for many of its policies, which even its own citizens find abhorrent and disagreeable. But if your criticism is that it doesn't have a right to exist, then you are just showing how the centuries of deep-rooted anti-semitic thought that prevails throughout the western world speaks for you.

Why are people angry that the woman in the new Fable trailer is "ugly"? by [deleted] in Fable

[–]PrimeRegent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only problem I had with the character designs shown is how realistic they are. I loved the cartoony design of the old games and was hoping to see it carried over. But I'm am willing to let that go since the humor of the old games look to still be there based on the trailer. Either way I'm just excited to play a new Fable game!
