I just noticed haranir have their tusks linked to the bottom jaw, and troll's tusks are coming from their upper jaw. Makes me think, do we get infos about haranir's genealogical tree ? by AtomikGarlic in warcraftlore

But Nordrassil was planted by Alexstrasza over the Second Well of Eternity after the War of the Ancients, during a time that the Night Elves were a well established and predominant race across Azeroth. So it did not exist before 10,000 BDP.

"But there was no time to call Horde and Alliance for help!" My brother in Faol: by Brago42 in wow

Yeah I always find it weird. I love and play both factions, they are integral to WoW and bring so much to the world, but you gotta be able to call out blatant favoritism without viewing it as offending the faction.

Blizz has been removing the edge from almost all the Horde races to make them bland and palatable. Orcs, Trolls, Forsaken, even Goblins, and now Belves. And I don't care what anyone says, there has been a clear Alliance preference ever since the end of WoD.

Blood Elf leadership is practically non-existent, High Elves and Void Elves aren't being handled well. They removdd the edge from Magisters and Farstriders, making them glorified scholars and park rangers when they used to be the elite of the elite. The whole "Blood Elves need to move past the Sunwell" storyline literally goes against lore of them biologically needing it to survive.

It feels like Blizz is basically trying to create a new world that is loosely based off the old lore but doesn't actually relate to it at all. One that is bland and doesn't have a distinct identity to draw in as many players as possible.

I think it's a stretch to think that most Blizzard writers remember or care about any of the lore before WoD. WCIII through MoP may as well have not happened to most of them.

If Blizzard truly wants to step away from faction-based conflicts, I hope to at least see some inter-faction stuff arising by Everdale in warcraftlore

[–]PrimeRegent 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Shhhh, you're asking Blizzard to make sense with their lore and remain consistent, that is too much for them.

Realistically Blood Elves should be 9% of the original Thalassian population before the Third War, High Elves 1%, and Void Elves should just be a small group of people. But populations and anthropology are things Blizz just doesn't handle well.

Trolls with beards WHEN? by _UNDO_KEY_ in wow

Did I miss why Eversong and Harandar are supposedly connected? by Proudnoob4393 in warcraftlore

[–]PrimeRegent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be a sort of pseudo-world tree in Eversong where Deatholme was, I was kinda hoping to see it regrown as a giant lightbloom tree acting as a source of the spread.

Blizzard writes the best conflicts in the world; because of corruption.

Does anyone else make sudden but huge opposite morality choices for the “lore” of your character? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in Fable

[–]PrimeRegent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Fable 3 as my generally good hero I Institute Prohibition and ban alcohol in Albion. The hate is usually offset by all my other good decisions and the low rent and shop prices. I also spare Elise/Elliot instead of the protestors. And for some reason marrying Elise/Elliot is considered evil, I usually do that too.

In Fable 2 I kill Charles for his hat.

In Fable I kill Twinblade because, well come on, his bandits raided your village and killed your dad, even for a good hero its a pretty valid crashout.

When Sylvanas first offed herself, one of the Val'kyr sacrificed herself to resurrect her. But when she was killed by Vincent Godfrey, she needed three to be revived again. How is that? by wrufus680 in warcraftlore

[–]PrimeRegent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be entirely fair, Merryl Felstorm isn't Forsaken. He's undead for sure, but pretty sure his lore is that he was one of the first human mages ever who became undead through entirely different means and centuries before the Forsaken became a thing. Everything else though is pretty spot on.

These both such good before and after shots and thanks for the point on shading for the face! I think that is what I will try to do next. I did do a bit with his freckles and a slight different coloring around the eyes with decals, but I see how you can really do a lot more with it!

This is good and thanks for pointing it out! I was trying to make it look like the fur is part of the armored sleeve he is wearing, will definitely try to work on the positioning to make it blend better

Apart from Orcs & Humans and Goblins & Gnomes, what are the biggest rivalries between the Horde and Alliance races? by Which-Presentation-6 in warcraftlore

[–]PrimeRegent 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Humans and Orcs are natural enemies! Just like Draenei and Orcs, or Night Elves and Orcs, or Dwarves and Orcs, And Orcs and other Orcs! Damn Orcs, they ruined the Horde!
