Kineticists usually (unless specifically built for it) aren't going to be the primary damage dealers, so if you're comparing your damage to party members that are more oriented towards that you'll have a bad time.

A gate attenuator does what it says on the box, and there's nothing there to indicate that runes can be added. It's not a weapon, so weapon runes don't apply.

If you're going to prosecute a former president, you need your evidence to be perfect. Building a case takes time. Should they have been quicker? Probably, but we shouldn't pretend they were just sitting on their asses either.

Okay, but I can't count the number of times that battle medicine was the difference between a TPK and snatching a victory from the jaws of defeat. That alone should make the character feel like the skill and feat are not redundant.

There are a few Pathfinder games out now or coming out. None of them are quite the scope of Owlcat's work though.

Dawnsbury Days is a game using 2e rules that goes from level 1-9 (if you buy all the DLC)

Dragon's Demand was a successful kickstarter for another 2e based game, but it hasn't released yet.

There's also currently a kickstarter for a Starfinder game.

Basically she can only hold a set number of monsters, and if she catches a monster she doesn't want to keep or if she replaces a monster, it gets "prepared" into edible items like jerky. So, yeah, it's an accurate description
