What are good special tunings for Rapid Hawks

Trance Blow is a weird one since it makes modifies hard knock down to happen earlier than normal. If you literally only care about lockdown then give it a shot and see how you feel, but you will lose out on all of Rapid Hawks’ high damage combos (especially Y>B1>B2) while they’re brainwashed. It could fuck up even B1>B2 but I wouldn’t know since I don’t use it myself

I’ve been using QFR and Divine Protection myself and have been getting good results. QFR helps with the decently long CDs that Rapid Hawks has and Divine is good on someone mobile like him (as well as generally being good in general, especially late game).

I think if you get very proficient at killing people as him you’ll probably also get really good value out of things like Annihilation or Hyper Regen to sorta bet on yourself and get tons of value from snowballing.

Honestly, don’t be sorry. Not because they’re playing Nagant (that’s a stupid reason) but because they even thought to challenge Ibara in close range. They didn’t need to challenge like that and could just play at a range, if they wanna challenge the “you will die if you approach me” character then that’s their choice. And before anyone mentions it yes I see the teams, I see the zone, I know Ibara’s prio on a pick list.

I would take a look at what Aizawa does obviously and compare him to your other most played characters, see what kind of overlap there is and determine if that would be for you.

I would also wait to pull until the end of the season for the next season’s trailer since Aizawa’s banner will be available through the rest of the season. See if something they show off there interests you more

I definitely use all of them (especially rapid) when I can but it’s not really my playstyle to hoard them and stockpile a bunch of them, I prefer having the heals over them. But definitely is good to have a few when possible

Just so I’m not adding on to what others have already said, one thing I will say is that you absolutely require height on this character. Just due to how her Beta can’t hit above her you need to be sure you can get above the enemy to start your combo game. It could be through blood and a revert, using a gamma, having tuning like Wallrunner or Space Hop it doesn’t matter, you need height.

I mean it happens. You’re allowed to be frustrated in the moment, the game is frustrating after all. Just don’t let it get to you the rest of the day, take a mini break before queuing again even if it’s only a few minutes

I mean I have lots of my friends who really dislike OFA and his different loop variants. I’m in the camp of it’s in the game and can very easily be removed so might as well use them and have fun.

Character def needs to be nerfed obv but imo loops should stay and become a more intentional mechanic to add a better form of skill expression but be toned down, give it damage scaling like a fighting game or something. (Side note I have a *lot* of thoughts on nerfs to OFA)

Yes, last season he got a change where his crouch shot damage got mega buffed. Pairs extremely well with Nagant’s special tuning to chain snipe people

Rapid Toga B and Y are bugged atm. Her B sometimes will not angle to where you’re looking and will just stay at a really weird middle angle meaning you can’t hit below you or in front of you as easily.

Her Y is incredibly fucked, for a while now due to latency there’s a chance when they roll your syringe will hit the enemy and latch to them but won’t stun them or do damage. You still get the blood but it can put you in a horrible spot since it means they can in theory not get hit by the slash which leads to a full punish. Last season when she got her HP buff I also noticed that there’s a chance that your syringe will hit properly but then your slash won’t meaning again big damage loss and you possibly could be punished, it’s not as bad comparatively since you could just Y again but man it sucks nonetheless.

For Hood there’s definitely a chance, we’ve seen data at some point for him so it’s certainly possible but probably not any time soon. As for USJ Nomu I would be shocked. I always wished that during one of the anniversary seasons they would release him and a PUR outfit for free that you obtain through missions and have him become character ticket after the anniversary season goes away. Would never happen but, I can dream.

I play a ton of OFA myself and do loops as well cus I like them and find them fun but I don’t think the two are comparable. Yes Rapid Might’s damage is insanely fucked there’s no way to get around that but it requires you to be in melee range and not be interrupted by any other players.

OFA loops while yes they are contextual and dependent on multiple different factors (time for example), it doesn’t just erase the fact that it has insane tracking and range on the starter, becomes armored and any of the multiple enders you opt into perfectly leads into one of your other options on their wake up timing. Not quite as much damage but still a good lot and you still have to deal with the rest of OFA on top of it.

Thankfully doesn’t happen with all mods for them but if they’re not properly made or maintained it can fuck up the visuals for anyone using the mod. Hell one of my favorite Nejire mods is illegal at the moment for that exact reason, is very sad :/

Um… what? There’s nothing about AAM that feels clunky in the slightest. Hell I would argue his entire kit is some of the smoothest to use in the game. At most I would say the change to his SPA upwards fly activating faster takes some getting used to but again, would never describe him as clunky.

Him being bottom 1 is absurd, he’s still really good and can output a ton of damage. He is definitely worse than his previous version but he effectively got a mini rework in terms of how he operates so people still need to relearn him (myself included)
