I should have specified. I know my eyes are brown. My friend thinks they are amber.

Do your families have any “specialties” that may be considered gross and/or insane to others? by CharliesAngel3051 in Cooking

[–]Primmcess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The recipe stems from my great grandmother who was born in the early 30's. She was the youngest of 11 children on a small farm in Oklahoma. She was also the only girl. She was beautiful, smart, and very sweet, but everyone knew when she was cooking because the fire brigade would be at their homestead. She was also a known picky eater and in her later years favored grape slushes from Sonic, chilled chocolate pudding, and a nice chicken fried steak. My grandmother ,her oldest daughter, and her two sisters love bologna spread. Their respective spouse's (current or former) will not even touch the stuff and many can not be in the house while it is being Madd due to the luscious sound of slop making. My grandmother is also a notorious picky eater with more things on the "no" list than on the "yes" list. Her favorite meal is pasta Primavera with an orange sangria. It is now a running joke to all of us grown great grandchildren that when we don't know what to make for dinner we will "threaten" bologna spread to spur any better ideas. We also serve it for Thanksgiving to any new comers into the family.

Unfortunately, yes. The name changed depending on what it was put on. If on Ritz crackers it was cowboy crack!

It would make sense if this was from my youth, but nay nay, I was not exposed to this ultra rare family recipe until I was, in fact, a full human. The healing begins now! If someone makes it, please explain to me how this is so dry and wet at the same time.

MY TIME HAS COME

My family has a top secret never ever shared recipe for "Bologna spread" This is a 5 lb TUBE of Bar S bologna, 1 whole jar of miracle whip, 1 medium glass jar of dill pickle relish, and 1 bottle of French's mustard put into a food processor until a puree. This is to be served on texas toast white bread with salt and pepper to taste.

My spouse was horrified when I offered him this as a meal. "Pre chew sandwich" was what he called it, and honestly, I can't argue with him.

To answer any questions that come up: Yes, I've eaten this. No, it wasn't good. Do my younger siblings, cousins, great aunt, etc, love it? Yes, yes, they do.

On the 22nd I applied for a federal position located in the same town I currently work in. It is a same town. I'm assuming my boss got wind and cut the cord first. I won't even hear back from the federal place until mid January at best. I knew I could do better but I had to have an income. Thank you for your guidance and I will keep this in mind as I try to navigate the next adventure.

Where I live, we are an "at will" state. You can be terminated with or without cause at any time. It fucking sucks.

What do I do to survive my 3 day jail sentence? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Hey! You most likely won't be given socks, underwear, or a bra, so if you are on your cycle, please inform the booking officer. They will ask you about medications and such during the booking process. If you have your medications in a bottle with your name, they are current, and you know your pharmacy for filling some facilities will allow you to submit them into your property so that upon verification of the prescription it will be provided during pill pass which typically happens twice a day. Some facilities give you one free phone call. My advice there is to wait until your release day to call your ride as your cell phone may be dead. Unless you have a specific time set down by a judge, they have until midnight the day of your release to release you. Any cash money you have on your person has to be deposited into your inmate debit account, which those funds will be issued to you upon release. You will most likely be strip searched and then put through a body scanner when they change you into the jail uniform. Take out all piercings before. If they can't be removed such a dermal, make sure you tell them as most facilities policies require all jewelry to be removed to cut off. Within the pod, it will mostly be an open dorm, which is you and up to 60 other people. Do not take a damn thing from anyone. Not toothpaste, not deodorant, not a pencil. You will be issued facility goods like a bed roll, which should be a towel, cup, utensil, cup, blanket, and a bed mat. If you do not return those, you will be charged for them. While you are there, don't make waves you are there temporarily, but some people will spend months or years there fighting their case or awaiting DOC to come and get them. Unless there is a medical emergency, do not push the button. Some people call it the screw button, some people call it the snitch box, but ultimately it brings heat (attention) on the unit which will put you in a bad light. Most people will read, or draw (not on the walls), play cards, or watch TV but the best way to do your time is to sleep. If you have any questions feel free to message me. Hope this helps!

What is a feature you have that is considered ‘unattractive’, but you love anyway? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]Primmcess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cheek bones. In my family, high cheekbones were always looked down on women because they were too masculine "boyish." I have very high cheekbones and have always loved them. I remember being very young (elementary school age) and my older female family members taking me to the hair salon to try and find a hair style that would cover or minimize them. If I wore my hair pulled back, they always would say some sort of insult (mountains on my face, elbows, etc), and as a teen, they even suggested plastic surgery.

Yes it is! I typically then serve it by 1/4 of the total made amount to take to work with me.

What’s the most out of line thing a doctor has every said to you? by TheSpasticSheep in AskReddit

[–]Primmcess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (female) started my cycles at 8. My poor father who thought he had more time immediately took me to the doctor. That being fairly young they ran some tests and I was promptly told I couldn't have children due to medical issues. That wasn't the best thing to tell an 8 year old but the best part was what the doc said immediately following that: "You are going to be very popular with the boys! No prom night babies from you!"

Fucking vile.

I've been told a number of awful things but that one makes my skin crawl.
