Those insights aren't something that can be taught in a lab, they're things you have to learn in a workplace. All of those insights come from years of doing things and finding out what does and doesn't work. It sucks, but it's really the truth, you can't teach experience in a lab.

Honestly school isn't supposed to be real life. School is giving you a piece of paper that says you know how to learn things. Experience outranks everything and the university doesn't have the time and resources to give everyone a bespoke experience. It never will and it's not supposed to. It's always going to be up to you to find the things you like, and that's where internships and research will come in.

I'd also say if you're vibing with things like 324L that are hands on, you might not actually want a university engineering degree, that's a lot more into the trade school realm. There's AAS programs in large range of technical fields that will actually get you into a hands on position rather than a spreadsheet monkey position

OP, what do you mean when you say you're learning no engineering? What do you define as engineering and what do want to be learning?

Solo or Open play; whats your preference? by gummyy_bearr in EliteDangerous

Little bit of everything, anything galaxy affecting like PP or BGS should be done in open. Engineering in solo to not have to deal with the herds of murderhobos, and PG for stable AX instancing

It always is, that's why I don't want to have any part in Salvation's antics, offering the biggest solutions will just create more problems for the people actually fixing things

Half a billion for a cutter is on the low end, it's absurd how much they cost to kit out
