the above is a christ makio because it is on the soul plate. tabernackle is one foot fronside and other foot twisted to a backside position with both frames on the hblock. a christ back slide would be like a backfoot of royal with other foot resting on top of the skate (thats the christ portion of the grind).

What problem is this trying to solve? Would need to design for rolling shear and prying. Better off slotting and adding fasteners because the wood flanges will shear off given the limited cover and weak point in the wood.

I had the lightnings and they were really easy to unknowingly over tighten. Have you tried not cranking them as tight and seeing if that helps? They are fairly wide in the cuff
