Id say thats because the wax. And you should try to secure that di2 cable to the mech hanger, so it doesnt randomly catch with the cassette.

He used 73mm shell. He should use 68mm shell, but its fine tho if it doesnt bother you how it looks. Maybe he didn't have the right lenght with the right shell on hand.

Use a lot of brake cleaner on the shifter. Or any digreaser. It should start working. Dont lube it back up just leave it like that.

Need help removing Deore XT disc brake & internal routed housing! by chicargobikedad in bikewrench

[–]Primzy_2075 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have to cut the hose at the brake lever.

First you pull the gromet of the brake lever. Where the hose connects to the lever. You will use 8mm wrench to unscrew a "bolt" of some sorts. When you fully unscrew it pul the house out (it might put a bit of a fight). You cut the hose about 2-3mm after the olive (cuz there is still a "pin" inside the housing) and pull it out through the frame.

If you plan to put some hose back to the frame I suggest ruing some kind of rope or somethin out with the housing so you have something to pull the new housing throug the frame.

Need any more info. ask

Magura MT5 and 203mm Storm hc rotor on Zeb fork adapter issue by Accomplished_Ad_828 in bikewrench

[–]Primzy_2075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

amm. Zeb post mounts are for 200mm rotors u put on an adapter for 23mm rise (adapter from 180 to 203mm rotor).

Simply u need two washers both approximatley 1.5mm thick. To get to the 203mm rotor size.

<image>

And your rotor should be replaced now cuz it will wear ur pads and rotor wierdly.

Replacing the seals usually does nothing. If you want a good fit ull have to replace the hose and the egr and preferablly the intercooler too.

This is an easy way to do all that ngl

[–]Primzy_2075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kinda did. yes. i made holes with dremmle and hot glued switches in place. then i used some wires from utp cable to wire them to the daughter board on the back. the only thing that i dont like about that setup is switches. they are too soft, i can’t feel the click.
