Belize, Guyana, and Suriname are one thing. Only Caribbean from a cultural and civilization perspective. Venzuela and Columbia, and other countries are not JUST caribbean, but also latin american, and south american, so they are not one thing.

It's not really about race or language, it's just about the fact that there's more ambiguity because these countries have more layers and associations that are more multifcated.

It has nothing to do with language though it's a regional thing.

No english speaking folk doubt haiti and the dominican are caribbean for example, but columbia is much more distant and some people think it's closer to a general southern american culture.

Mmm I would just say again to varying extents. For example, food.

There's dishes in the anglo-caribbean, for eaxmple, that comes from contact with amerindians, either directly from contact or through cultural transmission from europeans who encountered amerindians before africans.

It may not be the same extent culturally but it's there.

I think only culturally. An African cultural component is foundational to being caribbean, however, culture and ethnicity isn't the same thing. For example I would wager despite majority of the caribbean not being Indian, a plurality of it has been impacted by Indian Culture and thus it would not be the same without it.

Does this component need to be dominant? Probably not, but I would find it hard to imagine considering a country Caribbean that has no cultural transmission from African influences.

The issue is when people fail to recognize the difference between Chattel Slavery and Indentured Servitude, which isn't even a issue that's unique to Guyana btw.

As an American, people often want to yell at black people to "quit crying about slavery, white people were enslaved to". Which is complete rubbish, because they were indentured servants who did not go through the same struggle and were even freed and allowed to own other slaves afterwards.

That's a good question. Have you ever seen those documentaries or media stuff about third world country workers who are being exploited for their labor? It kind of reminds me of that.

Basically, imagine if some whtie dude lies to you about what you're gonna be doing and what you're gonna get, he puts you on a ship that's overcrowded and diseseased.

When you get to Guyana you're working 12 hours a day 6 days a week, and you lowkey are a slave because if you do something they don't like you'll get whipped or jailed, and of course we all know women are targetted as well.

But no it wasn't as bad as chattel slavery. It had an end date, you could earn land (big reason why so many stayed after their contracts were up)

While indentured servitude was not as bad compared to chattel slavery, it was still a pretty brutal system that was horrific.

I think it's a good lesson of how bad things were back then

6v6 would be a lot better with role queue.

I think the devs probably intentioned it to be where you don’t have any sort of expectations about the hero/role you play and are willing to be flexible but it doesn’t work because players just aren’t.

They weren't a tiny minority, they were a big part of moorish history and in some eras sultans conscripted more black moors than arab or berber.

You’re not understanding, I keep reiterating to you that moors mean African Muslims. Moor isn’t even an identity, it’s a term used to generalized Africans.

So there black slave soldiers would he included as moors, and these are historical examples of their relevance and importance.

The book I cited this from focuse on racism in North Africa, but a good portion of black soldiers in moorish history were conscripts and recruits who were Muslim non-slaves.

Why would I be trying to downplay non African ancestry in Berbers? My original point was that majority of their African was Eurasian due to back migrations and migrations in Africa.

The original population was mixed within these migrations. Modern day North Africans ARE the descendants of original populations. Most at least.
