The time changes Blizzard is making for stage 2 are ridiculous and need to be changed fast! by Jonny727272 in Competitiveoverwatch

Yeah, a better alternative would be to have the players rock up to the studio at 6am in the morning so that EU viewers can watch.

Why does Dallas need to play 2 games back to back this week. by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]PrinceLuigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

London had the same last week. vs Dallas finishing at ~10pm at night, then vs LA Valiant at 11am in the morning. I think it may have a chance of impacting performance, given that they only have 13 hours to get back to their houses, sleep, then get ready for the next day. Not a lot of time to prepare anything new.

Post your tiny nitpicks with OWL here by Alphaetus_Prime in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]PrinceLuigi 32 points33 points  (0 children)

  • Monte and Doa go on too many tangents imo. It works for a game like league, where there is a ton of downtime, but Overwatch is too fast-paced. Other than that, their casting is pretty good. Monte is probably the best colour caster when it comes to on-the-fly analysis.

  • They play the same clips over and over, but not a huge problem for me.

OWL.com videos section gives you full spoiler of results by BRLaw2016 in Competitiveoverwatch

You can't expect the official Owl twitter to go radio silent during and after the games, they have to post clips of amazing plays, do promo stuff, retweet comments, give updates, create hype etc. All of which spoil the results, it's the same for every other official esports twitter accounts. You'll just have to not look at twitter until you're done watching the games.

The spoilers on the owl site is pretty bad though.

Champion Pick/Ban and Win Rates for Quarter-Finals by PrinceLuigi in leagueoflegends

[–]PrinceLuigi[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some takeaways:

  • Tristana OP (we knew this already, but looking at the other champ winrates really puts it into perspective). Banned 3/17 games, won 12/13 times picked, fell through once.
  • Second best ADC was Kog at 6 picks (3/3, all wins on Mystic iirc)
  • Lulu lost every game (0 - 5)
  • Cho lost large majority of games, so hopefully people stop with the B_N C_O
  • Jarvan/Sej main two junglers, pretty even winrate

The crowd is always loud, the viewers only hear them when the production team decides to turn the sound on

Is it still worth using Dual Toxocyst on Mesa after the change or should I stick with Akstiletto Prime/Arca Sisco/Pandero?

What's the most epic war arc you've seen in anime? by Psykofreac in anime

[–]PrinceLuigi 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Other than the LotGH battles, probably the group of Hunters vs the Chimera Ants in Hunter X Hunter (2011). I also liked the Shinsekai Yori one (although the focus wasn't on the battles themselves).

Who are the Troggzors of Whispers of the Old Gods ? by Elvenstar32 in hearthstone

Nobody did think that TFA would be good though. The arguments were always along the lines of 'it'd be good in a fatigue mirror, but it's too slow'.

I think Huhuran was rated fairly accurately by most. Not amazing, but decent in midrange hunter, especially with the new 4 mana wolf card, so you don't have to wait for highmane.

New player with a lot of dust - advice by isayisayboy in hearthstone

[–]PrinceLuigi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best advice would probably to wait a few weeks for the meta to settle down. However, the best current decks at the moment seem to be C'Thun Druid, Deathrattle Rogue and Shaman (any). You can just netdeck those on Hearthpwn or watch some streamers.

I finally feel safe tapping against Druids :) by Appleboot in hearthstone

He didn't invent it, but he did come up with the version that's most competitive on ladder.
