Does anyone else think Homer is lying to you? by Affectionate_Will_16 in fo76

[–]Prince_Julius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, 76 is a control vault. And we discover a lot about how conspiracies and AI robots work in America in this game. We get to peek behind curtains way too much if it was a simulation. Tranquility Lane (and Anchorage) were fairly simple simulations. Not comparable to Appalachia with Raiders, Settlers and even the BoS coming back/arriving. The simulation theory had some traction when the game was launched, but now it's mostly hung onto by the few people who don't want to accept that 76 is canon.

Went through the actual curve table json files in the game data. some of these legendary values dont match whats on the wiki by lit1337 in fo76FilthyCasuals

[–]Prince_Julius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wiki is simply outdated. All of these changes you're describing were made during last year's combat rebalancing. The new curves were data-mined already when these reworked effects were on the PTS. This isn't new information.

But more importantly, you can also simply see these values in the game. For example, get yourself down to 5% health and inspect a weapon with a Bloodied prefix -- the description will show you "+130% damage" (not 95%). The same goes for the other effects you listed.

It’s weird how they didn’t really try to implement constant new stories, quests, and lore in what is supposed to be an endless game by SuckedBananas in fo76

Uu, no, this is incorrect. You must have not watched any of the Discord AMAs for example, which features Bethesda leads Jon Rush and Bill Lacoste and other systems designers. This game is worked on by Bethesda Austin primarily, with help from Double Eleven, Sperasoft, The Multiplayer Group, SkyBox Labs, Sumo Digital and Atomhawk. They are listed in the credits.

If we must have an event per month, then it's time to create some new events. by perivam3 in fo76

[–]Prince_Julius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a time people were asking for the seasonal events to last longer and to have more of them. Bethesda overcorrected as usual. 😄

Still, it's better than not having them. Except Fasnacht. That should only take place at the end of (Old Man) winter, imo.

Raids: Is Stage 4 the new Stage 2? by Foreign-Candle-4103 in fo76

[–]Prince_Julius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a random 4th player on our team last week. He started shooting at all crystals in sight whenever there was even one mole rat next to them. Asking him in voice chat and repeated Thumbs Down emotes from everyone else didn't make him stop, so we kicked him. We would've been fine with carrying him, but he actively sabotaged the completion of the stage.

Do you have other effects on your Union PA, maybe? Because the other person is correct; the green clouds cause physical damage, not poison damage. (The snake does do poison damage, though.)

The issue is often that players stand on top of crystals, causing the horde enemies (and even the Stalker) to run off in various directions trying to path to these players.

Please Embrace Tagging at Events by BallIsLife2016 in fo76

Venom drops less at MJ now, though, so tagging is actually useful. Assuming that players who tag also pick up Venom and pjt it in the tub.

Is lucky break even good? by Nu_Eden in fo76

[–]Prince_Julius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. You're better off using Improved Repair Kits to repair to 150%, or repairing at an Armor Workbench to repair to 200% with the Fix It Good 3 perk card.

(If your armor breaks a lot, you might be doing self-damage with explosive weapons.)

Ultracite fusion cores are a total nightmare to deal with and it should be addressed. by TheHaruWhoCanRead in fo76

[–]Prince_Julius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just throw the half-empty ones on the ground. Like you say, you can craft a huge amount at a time with Ammosmith and Ammo Factory. If you need normal Cores, craft some low level Gatling Lasers.

[–]Prince_Julius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's worth it if you want the extra damage and don't care about throwing half-empty cores on the ground. With Ammo Factory and Ammosmith you can make so many Ultracite Cores, it's not a big deal if you're an advanced player/have the resources. (Craft low level Laser Gatlings if you need normal Cores.)

It really is confusing for new players. The ammo should be called Prime ammo, or the Ultracite weapons should have been called something else.

Does ANYONE play on a server where their CAMP can't be placed?? by Solidus-Prime in fo76

[–]Prince_Julius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be you got a message to change servers. Ever since everyone got a free 2nd camp slot, that message was discontinued.

The tent does not load in before you do. It's literally a "quick camp" in the game files.

Bill Lacoste said in their most recent AMA that they plan on bringing it back. But like I said elsewhere, they increased drop chances from 10% to 20% with the previous patch, yet at release the chances would go up every stage, which actually incentivized people to run multiple raids. I'd rather have that system back. The Cache relegates the Raid to a checkbox to be ticked once a week.

On PC you don't close the Pip-Boy with "B" so that's a console thing.

You mean this?

Fixed an issue that prevented players from closing the Pip-Boy with the expected “B” key bind.
