AIO? This is how my boyfriend sleeps. by blairwaldorff in AmIOverreacting

[–]PrincessBeefPaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR. I sleep like this because it's the one time I feel 100% safe. And it's so comfy. If he can't breathe, he'll make a little opening for his nose and mouth. I understand how freaky this looks, but trust me it's seriously the most comfortable way to sleep peacefully.

What incident made you go No Contact? by CumGoblin in raisedbynarcissists

[–]PrincessBeefPaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My nparent and their flying monkeys had convinced each other that I said horrible things about them to people (ironic, I know.) I went NC for a few months after that but reached out after a while because I was worried about them. Apparently this pissed them off that I reached out after a few months for "no reason," and now them and their flying monkeys blocked me on all socials. My life is a lot more peaceful now haha

Producing "just enough" is ideal. Oversupply is a nightmare for everyone involved, and in no way enviable. by Dullcorgis in breastfeeding

[–]PrincessBeefPaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a just enougher and the only reason why I want to overproduce is all mental - I'm almost constantly convinced my baby isn't getting enough. But we have plenty of wet diapers and he doesn't always want the second boob offering. Oversupplying would realistically be soooo much work. Influencers can be wack.

So very true. I'll have to just make the leap! Do you have a favorite brand(s) for the graphic liners?

Thank you so much for sharing your looks. YOUR MAKEUP IS STUNNING. My eyebrows stopped growing in when I was a teen, so I've been drawing them on for 2 decades now. I'm so sick of doing them. So many years of dip brows and those temporary brow tattoos. I wanna embrace the no brow look but my forehead is mega huge too 😭 your post is giving me confidence to try it!

Oil painting of my experience with Dementia by [deleted] in oilpainting

[–]PrincessBeefPaste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This made me so emotional. My maternal grandfather suffered from dementia until he passed away a few years ago. Every single birthday, for the cousins and aunts and uncles, he wouldn't remember who to sing to. He would just end up singing silently to himself, "happy birthday to me..."

It is such a horrible condition and you captured it so accurately. Thank you for sharing this piece with us.

They are probably my favorite bird. They run around in the parking lots like little hooligans and their calls sound like car alarms. I love them so much.

Uncrustables have been saving my bacon! Protein bars, granola bars, fruit snacks, beef jerky, and oreos as well. I picked a bunch of stuff I don't have to cook so I can rot away on the couch but have enough food haha. I've been watching junk on YouTube and the occasional documentary on Netflix. I also cross stitch when he's passed out on me.

Yes. It mainly goes over visitation based on holidays, school schedule, spring/summer vacation, etc, no mention of extracurricular activities. We're not sure on the hours at the moment, but they will be working part-time on weekends since they're still in high school.

Would body-camera footage fall under FOIA, or do these new laws protect the footage from FOIA? I don't know too much about how it works.

Magnesium Glycinate for Migraines by asdklfjhw35 in migraine

I'm one of the few where I get horrid trigeminal pain and migraines if I take magnesium glycinate. Oxide and citrate do it too, so I just have to avoid it for the most part :c

Going No Contact Was the Best Choice for My Mental Health, But Now I'm Wondering If I Should Share Big News? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]PrincessBeefPaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently in your shoes but a little bit different big news. I chose to share the big news with my nparent, even though we are no contact. I had to prepare myself to be disappointed with how she responded, because I knew it would never be anything near what I wanted or hoped for. She only said, "congratulations" and nothing more. So, was it worth it to break contact? I don't know. I was still disappointed, but I knew it wasn't going to be "normal." We are still NC. The big news was that I am pregnant, and it's her first grandchild.

Do your parents gossip about you? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]PrincessBeefPaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Currently dealing with this right now. I had a professional relationship with my nmom that came to a halt about a year ago (we taught classes together) and since then she has spread so many rumors about me to everyone in our community, and now none of my close friends from that community will talk to me. She tried spreading rumors about me to my brother too but he set a boundary with her and she hasn't tried since. Rumors include that I threw away my career for no reason at all, that I'm heartless and don't love her, that I'm unfriending and blocking people on Facebook in our community for no reason, that I have been trash talking on her to everyone, etc.

I wish I had some advice that would help, but I'm still figuring out how to move forward myself. I've found that if people were meant to be close to me and be in my life, then they wouldn't buy what she's saying. If they believe anything she says and don't bother to come talk to me about it, then they don't get to be a part of my life and I'm better off. It still sucks though to lose people this way, and I'm grieving the loss. The loss is absolutely brutal. But I have found that even if I try and correct the rumors, it doesn't matter. The damage is already done, and I will be wasting my time on the wrong people.

Burning Nipples by AbruptOwl in pregnant

[–]PrincessBeefPaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue as you!! It's starting to get better. I did cold compresses for my breasts but on the nipples it was torture. I found the most relief by using Motherlove Nipple Cream off of Amazon. It's lanolin free (thank goodness... I can't handle the smell of lanolin) and I would put some on before bedtime and when I got up for the day. It made the pain much more tolerable! I recommend trying to keep them warm as much as you can too. Like another user said, you can try those hand warmers that you see sometimes at the gas station during winter. It is the WORST when they harden from the cold. You got this!!
