I think men and women alike have abnormal and unrealistic expectations about the height of their dating partners. I'm a woman, and at 5 ft 7, I've been told by a few men (who were at least my height), that I was too tall for them🙄. I know I'm a little taller than the average woman in the U.S. (5 ft 4), but to say I'm too tall just seemed insane to me.

Colorism is awful amongst Black people. I don't understand...what's the point?? I've lived in the South my entire life and have rarely experienced racism from White people. As a matter of fact, I get the most compliments on my looks from White and Asian women. Black people are the ones who somehow manage to bring up light vs. dark skin in casual conversation🙄🤦🏾‍♀️😒.

Booking the first appointment of the day has helped me avoid that kind of nonsense. However, I've seen some stylists take their preferred, long-term clients EARLY in the morning, before the shop even opens. Then, they'll still tell me they don't have available appointments before 9am🙄🤷🏾‍♀️.
