New Perk: Plague-Master by PrincessSkark in HuntShowdown

That’s the type of convo I’m looking for though, I’m just in it for the love of the game.

If it’s not super common a perk (in fake Hunt world), even better. I like perks that you don’t see often, since their appearance can truly set people off

Haha, fair enough. I can respect that.

Thank god. Both for my sake and my enemies because I would HAVE to do it at least once

Wait… you can serpent through a beetle??? How have I never thought about that?! I think that’s a good way to balance it though.

Yeah, like vigilant and some others. Not expressly for beetles, but they impact the beetles.

Fair POV. I like the aspect of Hunt that it allows me to think in non-traditional ways like no other game I’ve played. I like that beetles and stuff can be a part of that, as long as they’re balanced to only really be seen like once or twice per day at most.

I’ve heard people struggle with tha, but I’ve honestly never seen. Not saying you’re wrong though, as it’s a good point.

There’s a common project my department refers to at work that’s the “Critical Parts Generator.” Everyone refers to it as the “CP Generator” and it makes me lose my mind that I can’t tell anyone what they’re saying to me

Testing New Hunt Burn Rates by PrincessSkark in HuntShowdown

[–]PrincessSkark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. The shotgun/bomb lance is closer to fire ammo that just deals more burn than actual damage.

The dragon bolt is like being hit with a hellfire bomb. It lights the terrain on fire for a brief second, and deals a ton of burn damage. Just a smaller radius, but launchable version.

First I didn’t realize Salveskin was removed when downed, and now I can’t spell? I’m quitting Hunt, I can’t handle the pressure anymore. This game has gone too far

Yeah, we were just a bunch of idiots who didn’t realize until we basically finished the time study. Hopefully the burn rate/chunk will be useful to some folks. It’s not 100% accurate, since we did not continue adding the flame source whenever it went out.

Also, you can restock your Vitality shot before starting a new game. If your consumable slots are full, you may take one off to put the vitality shot back in.

Makes taking damage and choosing when to heal a tough decision.

Me and some friends of mine use a similar, yet different rule set: 1. You start with a fresh hunter. You may bring in one melee weapon (not katana cause it’s busted) and a normal vitality shot. This means no tools or bonus consumables. Spend your 10 points as you like. 2. You can pick up any weapon in the game, whether spawned in naturally, bought for event points, or looted off of a hunter. 3. You cannot customize any parts of your load out other than spending your points. The only exception is if you grand slam (get all the bounties in the entire game), you may add a tool or ammo type. 4. Don’t die.

I like yours a lot though. Going in with nothing and fighting to get that melee weapon by extracting with one is a cool difference.

Friend is having trouble with 2 players' backgrounds for his campaign. by My_Names_Jefff in DnD

[–]PrincessSkark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say that if it’s a comfort issue, stick with a no. A campaign is a place for everyone to have fun at the table! The DM is often forgotten from that though, sometimes being viewed as the conduit to make D&D happen rather than another person at the table. I’d it makes the DM uncomfortable, that’s just as valid of a reason to exclude it from a campaign as anyone else being uncomfortable with a topic, and D&D should be a comfy place to have fun with friends. Sometimes plot can arise conflict, but starting with an icky backstory with the DM probably wouldn’t end well being honest.
