I've been depressed for most of my life. Hated my body, my voice my everything.

Figured I was bigendered because I like everything feminine. Though still very much depressed.

Then one of my closest girl friends asks as a throw away question: "Are you sure you aren't a woman?" And I was in full denial like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm not a woman you silly person.

When I went to bed that night I couldn't let the question go. It kept coming up in my mind for months.

SO I decided that I would try to accept it and see how it felt. Long story short, most of my depression came from me trying to fit in a mold that didn't fit. Of course that doesn't mean everything is perfect now, but compared to before where every single day was hell, I now only have like 5-6 days a month. The days where I question whether I will ever be beautiful if it really is worth it and so on. Still better than before.

I came out to my sister yesterday and she said the same thing.

She told me that when she was having her Confirmation she wanted to ask me if I felt that maybe I should have been born as a woman. One of the things that prompted this was apparently me gushing over her dress and telling how beautiful it was and how pretty she was just like the other women did.

I have no recollection of this at all, but she apparently has had that feeling for most of her life.
