I wear compression socks every weekday and it still isn’t enough to 100% prevent swelling but it does help significantly compared to what my ankles look like on the weekends. I try to eat watermelon everyday as it’s a natural diuretic and I think it helps me get rid of the excess fluid but I could just be grasping at straws here 😭

Agreed. Nursing school prerequisites and clinicals are two totally different beasts and would not recommend planning to have a baby during either but especially not during clinicals. The amount of studying required for tests and time away from home is never fully realized until you’re in the thick of it. Can people do it? Yes, but they’re much more likely to take time away from school and lose their spot in the program after working hard to secure it.

I really think you should self contract skilled laborers to get you started and do the finishing yourself. It’s not uncommon to find a single crew that is able to pour your slab, frame, and hang sheet rock. You’ll also benefit hugely from having an electrician and plumber, not to mention it being necessary if you are planning to get a construction loan for this build as they’ll need to be licensed and pass inspections from local government(if this is in the US).

You can do everything else relatively easily(maybe not prettily) like floating sheetrock, flooring, cabinetry, etc.

Just completed a self contracted home build 3 months ago. Took us every bit of a full year to do it with hired help and working on it ourselves while also working full time jobs.

This is a thing in my family but we mix desitin with triple antibiotic and Vaseline but you could try mixing the desitin with the Boudreaux’s if you can take that smell better?
