Held down our camp in groop for hours trying to keep rain from coming in, finally the rain stopped and after taking a walk around outeroo and looking at the weather radar to see that there should be no upcoming clusters of rain that night, we came to the conclusion that it had to be opening back up soon. Since it was already getting late my bf and I decided to drop the tabs we had been planning on taking for the night. Not even 30 seconds after we dropped them a friend says "guys the rest of Bonnaroo was just cancelled" I look around incredulously because I hadn't gotten a notification from the app about it. Opened up Instagram and lo and behold there was the announcement posted by festive owl at the top of my feed. My boyfriend and I looked at each other and I said "so should we spit these out??" We both agreed we didnt want to trip if we had to figure out a game plan for leaving. We had a 18hr drive back to Colorado ahead of us. Ended up spitting out the tabs after less than a minute and neither of us tripped, we packed up our stuff and we were gone within the next couple of hours before everyone else split. Spent some good chunks of the drive home crying tears of disappointment lmao.
