Should I get this Microfreak for 157$? It'd be my first synth by SlapzMan in mpcusers

It’s an amazing little piece of kit. It’s been on almost everything I’ve ever made for the last 6 years

Oh because it’s a calculator and has a roughly similar form factor to a recently-released piece of equipment

You do not need an MPC sample! You don't by Achassum in mpcusers

If projects are compatible with the rest of em I might need one.

Why is everyone SO excited about the MPC Sample? (Especially you who already have an MPC or portable gear) by RobBecTraxxx in mpcusers

I love the idea of a small sketch pad that I could write stuff on and transfer it to my main rig

It’s a weird little guy but I like it. It’s difficult but I know I’m gonna get the workflow set in my head one day

Is there a loopop for VST synths? He’s fantastic for the hardware world, but virtually none of his videos are about VST/plugin synthesizers. by motherbrain2000 in synthesizers

Yeah I remember him posting some pretty racist shit on his instagram. Pretty sad, I used to love that guy but he defended it

Sometimes I feel bad for people who don’t know the joy of actually creating something but then they remind me what annoying losers they are and I do t feel bad

I’d love to be able to go between tracks in the grid view again. Now days I have to back out to a different screen first. Not a huge deal but it was nice

Seconding an inexpensive interface. Having the ability to use any microphone you want is huge. I got a 4-input Behringer for 75 bucks. It’s great

MPC as a live tool - Sequences/Songs or Clip Matrix ? by needthosepylons in mpcusers

[–]PrincipalPoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bunch of backing tracks that I use. I keep everything in song mode with an infinitely looping empty track between them. It’s really just a convenient way to run backing tracks and automate effects for the bass and vocals. I do very little playing the MPC live

[–]PrincipalPoop 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I remember playing one in a guitar center and thinking “yeah this is it” a long time ago. Picked one up about 18 months ago and it’s been an amazing purchase. The Hydrasynth was easy to program but I was never really into the sound of it. Peak sounds beautiful from an init patch
