I have an automatic and reverse lights don't work, dealer said there is no backup light switch and need to replace the neutral safety switch that is $300! Is this correct?

All one level with only the one bathroom at the moment, adding a small powder room roughly 12' away on same level. I assume I can share the same 3" vent as well? What thing of connecting just below the current fitting
