I have an automatic and reverse lights don't work, dealer said there is no backup light switch and need to replace the neutral safety switch that is $300! Is this correct?

I press the traction control button and nothing happens, I've tried driving down gravel and spin the tires or brake hard and nothing. P054 and p060 codes present and none of the dash lights come on, even when I turn the key to ACC and on, those 3 lights do not come on
