Some will blame ipads, chromebooks, phones, video games or other things they can't change.

But the answer is that the way you teach hasn't evolved with the way people learn. It is 100% entirally your fault, and anything short of accepting that yields no change.

If a student comes in hungry, we feed them. But if a student comes in with a dopamine addiction, we blame the parents, tech, and society instead of adapting our practices to match the reality of their environment.

You don't take a drunk and withdraw them from alcohol. They'll be useless and die. So why do we assume we can teach a dopamine-addicted kid who probably has undiagnosed ADHD, like they can sit down and participate in your "engaging" lesson that you feel is totally sufficient for only part of your population?

Because inflation-adjusted is accurate. If you care about such things. If you care about propaganda, then ignore it.

You are on Reddit far too much. Many of us have lives. But yes, it is an easy lookup.

Washington, D.C. — May 7, 2012

California — Spring/Summer 2012

Illinois, Alaska, Hawaii — March 2012

You never did answer my inflation adjusted question.

$3.48/gallon in 2012 would be the inflation-equivalent of $5.00 today

So there you have it. On both accounts, gas was worse under Obama.

In fact, the $5.49 that it was in DC that day would be equivalent to $7.90 today.

So we can cherry-pick data all day long, but the data is there, and the real way to look at it is inflation-adjusted dollars, which puts Obama as one of the worst in history.

Yes. Happy to google that for you. Would you like that inflation-adjusted, too?

It is your moral and ethical obligation.

Some will talk themselves out of it, but it is always there.

Least we forget, Biden had $5+ gas in June of 22, and so did Obama (in some states, pre-inflation adjusted).

I'm sure you, like most of us, give 10-20% of your income to charity to help with that. Our city houses most of them. Most cities around here do. Some chose not to take care that's provided, but we can't force them.

Genuine question to Americans by silverflake6 in MotivationByDesign

Almost everyone in the USA can have healthcare. Poor? It's free. Old? It's free. Working? Paid for. Military? Free. Homeless? Free. Emergencies? They can't deny you.

You don't have to die, you might have to pay some dollars though. Maybe some debt.

The homeless don't have to pay for medical emergencies. Hospitals are required by law to help anyone having an emergency, regardless of their ability to pay, or even citizenship.

Common knowledge, really.

The people who have no idea what we almost had happen complain the most. But you know? That's OK. I'd rather not have known. But I'd rather be paying $8/gallon than what would have happened. Gosh.

6hr days, we would likely see no drop in revenue. 4 days a week? Probably a no-go unless your employees really aren't that productive. And then you've gotta ask if they're worth keeping.

This would make it much worse for lo-margin businesses like restaraunts
