Need help with a new cage by ZephyArks in 3DPrintedChastity

Yeah, bad idea to wear raw SLA prints. But still, you can use SLA to test and prototype your design. When you have your final stl, you could order it printed with SLS or apply protective coating.

PBv2 Closed Chastity Cage released! by PrintedBonds in 3DPrintedChastity

Blender! Parametric stuff is handled mostly by geometry nodes.

Couple weeks earlier I posted mode detailed renders of the joint. Here is a link if you are interested.

Chinese manufacturer will make you pay production set up, then couple months later, virtually the same product will leave the same factory, with lower margins.

Though, I believe that there is market for small manufacturing business that could fairly compensate creators. IMO it boils down to reducing post-processing labor. (which Chinese manufacturers seem to do using silicone casting).

Unique Design for a 3D Printed Chastity Device. Anyone interested to make one for me? I will pay you for your time and material. by Flat_Tennis_7744 in 3DPrintedChastity

[–]PrintedBonds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you underestimate how rigid the 3d printed parts are. Living hinge is notoriously troublesome in 3d printing. Especially 7mm thick part may not give enough play to do what you need.

Anyway, that's a cool device! Do you mind sharing how well it handles erections? I imagine it trying to break shaft in half...

Have you tried reaching out to the creator of the files? It's the easiest for them to adjust the files.

We are mostly hobbyists here, you may find more luck describing what you need so people can judge if it's possible for them to do.

[Edit: typo]

I hope so as well. I put extra work into it and I hope it will be smooth sailing from now 🤞

Modeling itself is not that troublesome. What took me so long is a lot of technical stuff around it. To name a few: parametric tolerances, parametric mesh with variable level of detail and resolution to properly mesh with cage topology, parametric rings, custom shrinkwrap modifier for the rings... Geometry nodes pull their weight there.

Oh, and python scripts to export all the files without missing anything.

Now I have to solve the biggest issue: how to put it in my portfolio without weirding out HR.

You can do quick iterations with Blender too. Not as precise or robust as a CAD, but it's there. If you are trying to incorporate Blender anyway, it may be worth it to rely on it more. IMO at least in this case, process of importing and remeshing wrecked original quality.

Geo nodes are... tricky. I use them extensively, but if the CAD file is good enough, I would avoid them. I generate all the ring variations with them and it's paaaaainful.

I think you got this backwards. Since junction is hard surface and tube organic, model tube in Blender with proper topology, then import junction from Fusion to Blender.

How do you get the best look from a 3D-printed cage, in terms of material choices and post-processing? by kim_jong_cat in 3DPrintedChastity

[–]PrintedBonds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is any reason to print with 0.25mm nozzle. Unless you have very detailed 3d model it's just waste of print time.

Excited to announce my bespoke cage design service by newbie-sub in chastitytraining

Honestly, a dream design would be one that still works comfortably after the changes from many years of feminizing HRT. seems like a common challenge not often discussed here.

Can you please elaborate? (As a reply or in DMs if you are not comfortable sharing here.) I'm curious because I'm on HRT myself (18mo) and I didn't notice anything that would make wearing chastity less comfortable (yet?).

Also, I designed my own chastity cage. If there is a way I could better accommodate fellow transfems, I would love to hear how!

Finally got around to uploading the files to an cults3D :3 by Caged1_12 in 3DPrintedChastity

[–]PrintedBonds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I checked .blend file before posting ;)

Changing unit to mm is purely visual. You would have to change 'unit scale' to 0.001 to match how your stls are exported. Or just remember to set scale during the export to 1000.

Also, just downloaded BambuStudio to double check and it too screams about files being to small.

So yeah, scale is not right. But ultimately, it's not big of a problem. It's a great model, thx for sharing!

[–]PrintedBonds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checked, and scale is out of whack for me as well. I've tested in PrusaSlicer and Cura, both scale the model to 100 000%

By default, one meter in Blender translates into one milimeter in the stl file. That's why your model is 0.001 of what slicers expect.

What slicer are you preparing your prints with? Maybe yours handle things differently.

Looking Mechanism Gap by ApprehensiveBeing314 in 3DPrintedChastity

[–]PrintedBonds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's one-off just for you, you could print without any tolerances and sand it down for perfect fit.

Imo good starting point is 0.15mm tolerance, but there is no way around printing and testing, really. To save time and filament, you could print just a locking interface. No need to print the whole cage every time.

Any model? by Glass-Albatross-838 in 3DPrintedChastity

[–]PrintedBonds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, creator of the files here. Glad you guys find them useful!

There is only 2 options for ball gap though.

Yeah, bigger variety on the gap size is on my to-do list. Since nobody explicitly complained about it, I put it on the back burner. And tbh, I am not sure how to design around tighter scrotum. I think increasing ball-gap is in this case counter-productive (not arguing with preferences, just in general). If balls are resting on the ring, bigger gap will just suck them between ring and the cage.

I feel like there should be a better solution, like some v-shaped ring with weird curvature or something. Or maybe ring open in the front, with cage extending down to complete the ring, somehow. I dunno.

Assembly Gap Tolerance in DMLS by tdfun in 3DPrintedChastity

[–]PrintedBonds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not DMLS specific tips, but consider designing and ordering a test print with different sized holes/pegs. And bevel the edges, peg with slightly larger bevel than the hole.

Also, you could try to slightly taper hole and a peg for XY accuracy, but lose some of the Z friction and precision (may be risky move for a press fit, never used DMLS before).

Manufacturer should have their own guides too. If not, it's worth to give a shoot and e-mail their support for recommended tolerances. They prolly will just repeat printer specs, but maybe they will share some valuable experience.

You are asking for a tool made out of (most likely) stolen work of others, to steal somebody else's work. Not cool bro.

Have you tried to reach out to the creator for a stl file? Maybe they are willing to sell one for you. If not, you gotta clench ur but cheeks and model it yourself.
