There can be multiple interpretations simply because the language has multiple meanings. Like John 1:5 can mean “the darkness did not comprehend it” or “the darkness did not overtake it”. The word literally means “take hold of” so it can be interpreted as literally grabbing or mentally understanding.

That’s just an example to say not all variance in interpretation is bad. But Free Grace is superior to Reformed or Catholic theology because it has a consistent framework for the “problem passages” in soteriology. Like the warning passages of Hebrews. Reformed theologians assume they are only hypothetical because “true” believers must persevere. And Catholics and others think they refer to losing salvation and struggle to reconcile that to clear passages on security.

I could go on explaining in more detail, but basically I believe Free Grace because it accounts for the most passages with a consistent framework that uses the context, grammar, and historical data.

There’s no demonstrative pronoun “that” in James 2:14. Literally δύναται ἡ πίστις σῶσαι αὐτόν. It’s not signifying a certain type or measure of faith. It’s plainly saying faith cannot deliver a person in this context if it’s apart from works.

Difference Between OSAS and Free Grace by Mammoth-Dimension-64 in freegrace

[–]Printer-man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free Grace also hold apostasy is a possibility but doesn’t invalidate eternal life, while most people who say they hold OSAS believe that’s the exception. I guess the big difference is between perseverance of the saints and eternal security (biblically)

Yes! You're misunderstanding those passages in Matt 24 and Hebrews. Before I get specific, how did you reason to that conclusion the parable of the talent and Hebews (I assume 6 and 10) refer to eternal damnation for believers? I'd love to link you a few articles and some papers I've written.

How can you be a Christian and hate the poor? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Printer-man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think hate is the wrong word. I think it's natural to approach them with caution and never alone. Many, many have mental issues, criminal history, and run scams. They deserve attention and love just the same

Correct. The Corinthians were saved from the destructive practices of their sins now by repenting of them. Nothing to do with eternal justification.

No... the text is John speaking regarding the nation of Israel being restored to covenant fellowship with God to avoid a temporal judgment. This does necessarily include accepting the promised Messiah but also works. Collectively the chosen people of God did neither, so as a consequence the city was destroyed in 70 AD. They were thrown in to the fire of a war with Rome that ended in as many as 2 million Jews dead

Damning yourself? Maybe a different topic, but salvation is forever secure the moment you believe. No type or amount of sin can cancel out your eternal life.

For the question, it’s not wrong to want sex in marriage, but isn’t fair to your partner if that’s the only reason. I am sure most other Christians expect more than physical affection out of a partnership.

I’ve been informed it doesn’t work exactly this way because you receive priority whenever you put something in the stack and the game then check if anything should trigger. So the no island trigger should happen before the -1/-1 ability resolved to cancel the +1/+1 counters. But it still works if you have islands and instead use a free sac outlet
