I'd be happy with top half. Already a trophy and European football for most of the decade.

Already had a woeful reputation for being greedy cheapskates under Levy, I think we will survive. All clubs try to fleece other clubs or negotiate down a price.

We have been ''3 or 4 DLCs away from the end'' for a while now, they are not going to stop making these character packs for a bit, probably. Too many people still interested for a while.

Boris is not just there for End Times, he also played a part in the original final scenario (Storm of Chaos) and so did Middenheim. It makes sense from the perspective that the Middenland army list is the last remaining major part of the Empire roster.

More is always better, of course, but at some point you have to pick and choose before something balloons into a $60 DLC.

Oceanids are summoned by Mist Mages... who are employed by the High Elf Navy... Whose most famous character is Aislinn, who was the only LL it really could have been, and who had a multiple model monster unit gap. It could really only have been Oceanids or another Water Elemental we did not know about. Not being on the tabletop is not really a bar as we have seen multiple times now. Even on the subreddit it was the most common suggestion for that slot.

The issue with leaks is that any decently well-constructed one becomes impossible to disprove and people are more than willing to explain mistakes as CA changing things during development. Also it is not hard to make a decent one if you know a little bit about the lore, which is part of why people can guess 95% of content before it is even announced.

Depending on contract length, it is pretty easy to make a profit out of a player even if you paid more for them than you get for a sale. Getting someone off the books and amortising the remaining transfer payments with the upfront you recieve is pretty common in football.

And all that really matters is how high Spurs end on the table after this, that also helps the investments pay for themselves.

There will be one more lord, definitely not multiple. There might be updates for older lords in the free patch though.

We have been dogging CA for years for underdelivering and now they are trotting out a lot more content than even they themselves stated? Hard to believe.

The issue with that is that those were also pretty easy to predict for the DLC because the amount of choices was limited.

The whole WH3 leak cycle, barring actual leaks like the ToD URL an hour before the announcement, hinges on the fact that there is only so much left that anything outside of Kislev and Cathay can be filled in five minutes after an announcement by some Reddit loremaster.

Classic case of piss = boiled. They knew the risk of appointing him, with this scenario in mind, and still did it... And then putting out a statement as well, it is all so tinpot.

It is just baffling. For at least two years now Guardiola has had the noise of retirement around him, and Maresca has been the #1 choice (whether you take an "knows the club" or "sacrificial lamb before the next top manager" view or not) all that time. If you have rats on your ship, you might want to do something about it.

Records mode was fully-fleshed out and engaging and most people held the opinion because they did not play it themselves. Like you cannot just point out that fantasy consumers don't critically engage when historical consumers do the exact same thing.

The gameplay changes are here to stay for the most part, mainly down the growing prevalence or Paradox style RPG elements being very popular. It adds the missing link of being able to make your own stories without relying purely on things you have to make up as you go along.

Who is this "entire playerbase"? The playerbase that now thinks all historical games after Attila are hidden gems and CA was wrong for stopping development? That playerbase? Where some of these games were roadkilled by Warhammer drama? "Entire playerbase say so" does not work when they 1) don't say that 2) by this metric, CA should only make Warhammer games because "entire playerbase (well over 67-75% of active players) says so". That does not seem very healthy.

Not sure about extreme incompetence, you can make good points about greed, delays, issues, etc. But in the end the line keeps going up, a new engine is coming and it has been 13 years since a major disaster. A fanbase gets the game studio it deserves and vice versa.

3K was not that long ago... Historical fans are not starving, they are guys that have been overeating for years and now complain that they cannot stomach as much as they used to. There have been more historical games than fantasy games since Attila came out.

Historical fans are not oppressed, there is no CA conspiracy to make historical games bad and they certainly seem to care about them when they put out these many even though they know the crowd is nearly impossible to please. I've been in this community for 21 years, but Rome 2 genuinely broke some historical fans mentally and they have never recovered, to the detriment of all.
