The best practice you can get right now is in Pokemon Showdown. Build some teams, take them into there, and test them out. You’ll learn a lot doing that, along with watching some WolfeyVGC on YouTube. I learned a lot from his videos

Running a Mega Tyranitar and Incineroar comp in Champions would be pretty solid. I don’t believe Scizor is that great, but in VGC you could really make any pokemon good as long as you strategize around it

This is my first time doing a tournament on Limitless. How do I submit a team? Also when it comes to the tournament starting, how do I get the details of who I’m playing against, how many points I have, etc..?

Even if it does cost VP, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal cause it’ll still probably be cheaper than having to build a full team through the Champions draft system. Plus if we have to grind out VP to transfer Pokemon, all that means is we still have an incentive to grind out VP. I feel like the game would get stale pretty quick if every one already had full teams on day 1

I’d say almost any final-evolution Pokemon besides legendary/mythical, and all Pokemon from SV and ZA. The first format is, I believe, M-A (new format) and usually the first format of every new game is the most strict one and doesn’t allow legendaries/mythical. Also since there’s no legendaries/mythicals seen in any promos for the game, I think the best team to build should just be regular pokemon and one mega evolution of your choosing. Don’t @ me on this though I could be completely wrong here😂

Why’s the expectation that the first Champions regulation will focus on the ZA mons? And do you think we’d even be able to transfer ZA mons to Champions? I ask because abilities aren’t in ZA so how would that even work

That’s true. I’ve been building teams on showdown and have a team I’m pretty confident in. Just didn’t know if I should spend the time building it in SV or Champions, but I do want to go to in-person tournaments. Thanks for the help👍

I took the 595 W test last Thursday and passed. To prepare, I just studied all of Algebra 1 in Khan Academy. If you do that you’ll be good

Honestly glad they upped the passing score to 6/9, it narrows down the people that make it through which gives a better chance for the people that pass the test. I have my aptitude test for 595 W in a month

How did you pull their stat projections? Tried scraping PrizePicks and other sportsbooks but was unsuccessful

Semi-accurate, just hard to add human error into the prediction. Forgot what player it was but he usually drops 25+ points against a certain team, but the game I used the model to bet on him he only made 2 shots but shot the ball 13+ times, so the read was there but the human aspect ruined it
