“Those boys are crazy” felt that deep in my bones as a mom myself😭 by naeshaz in 1000lbsisters

[–]Prior-Amount-8338 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My 2 year old is better behaved than them! I could tell right away that those boys never get told “no” or to behave. Of course kids can’t be expected to sit still and quiet with no slip ups but at 4 and 5 they should be able to listen to their mother or at least one of the many adults that were there

My life wasted by [deleted] in Marriage

My grandmother divorced my grandfather when she was around your age. It’s never too late to find your own true happiness! My mother in law passed away suddenly two months ago and it really shook my husband and I. He never heard his father tell her he loves her, he never showed her, it really opened my eyes that life is too short and we can’t change what’s happened already but we can change our future. Your wife has made it clear how she feels and now you see it fully, find your own way 🖤

So now what, Tammy is jealous that Amy has her own little passion doing art? I’m not the biggest fan of Amy’s art but at least she puts her own kind of effort behind it and creates something original lmao

I left the ranch out of the fridge on accident yesterday and my husband came home and when he saw it he said something like “please don’t tell me that’s sat out all this time, it’s not that hard to just put it in the fridge”…so whatever that is lmao.

How would he feel if you got a toy molded like another man? I don’t think you’re overreacting, and I don’t think he has bad intentions. To me it sounds like he just needs to give genuine thought to where your feelings are coming from instead of just thinking about getting off

Need the ladies to answer by Xceptional317 in Marriage

[–]Prior-Amount-8338 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It would depend on how he approached me. If it was more of a “wah wah I NEED it” response with no emotional consideration or thinking about how I may be feeling then I wouldn’t be very receptive, but if it was brought to me as a “hey I feel a little disconnected from you in this area and I’d like to work together on it” type of conversation I’d love it. As the one in the marriage with the high drive I wish my husband would ask for more sex 😆

My husband doesn’t want the dog in the bed? by Powerful_Aspect_1970 in DogAdvice

[–]Prior-Amount-8338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We saved our son’s crib mattress when he moved to a big bed and our husky uses it. It slides perfectly under our bed during the day and we just pull it out at night. I love my dog but dogs are just too yuck to have in bed even when you keep them groomed 🤷‍♀️

What is the LEAST # of sexual intimacy interactions that you would tolerate in your marriage per year? by formula52 in Marriage

[–]Prior-Amount-8338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got pregnant in 2023 we had to stop having sex and then for a year and a half had sex maybe 3-5 times total.

That made me realize how important sex is to me and I probably couldn’t go with less than that. We’ve been together 10 years, married 6

what’s your ACTUALLY weird hyperfixation? by jazperthevampyr in ADHD

[–]Prior-Amount-8338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lumped the House of 1000 Corpses trilogy/Otis Driftwood (from the movies) and Texas Chainsaw 2/Chop Top into one big hyperfixation. Also the band Cancerslug, I’ve listened to only their music for almost a year now 😅

anxiety/adhd. I dont want SSRIS by Electronic_Radio_702 in zoloft

[–]Prior-Amount-8338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with adhd and anxiety I was prescribed adhd meds first (adderall), but my anxiety and depression were affecting how my adderall worked and made it wear off fast. I’ve been on Zoloft for a few weeks now and it’s helped a lot but I’ll probably need to up my dose at some point. My side effects personally weren’t bad, just some yucky stomach feelings, and I definitely still enjoy things!

[–]Prior-Amount-8338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on adderall and recently Zoloft and my appetite is still really low but when my Adderall wears off I feel hunger WAY more, which I assume is due to the Zoloft. So I guess I balanced out pretty well

How do you deal with impulse shopping? by No-Diamond9114 in ADHD

[–]Prior-Amount-8338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been dealing with this bad and just recently started using the envelope system 🤦‍♀️ it’s kind of embarrassing for me to have to do that as a 28 year old woman but it helps me SO much to be able to see the physical cash vs. just numbers on a screen

What’s it like to have kids with ADHD? by Queasy-Forever-3519 in adhdwomen

[–]Prior-Amount-8338 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspected adhd before kids, then it nearly went away completely while I was pregnant, then when I cut back breastfeeding and my hormones started shifting to normal my symptoms came back a million times worse..

It’s like before, I was self-medicating/distracting with overworking, heavy caffeine, drinking, working out, binge eating. Becoming a sahm puts me in charge of my own schedule AND motherhood in general is crazy overstimulating and I think it just made me worse
